The incident started when a menacing, brown object appeared in a tree near the home of an anonymous citizen. It remained for two days. The concerned woman called the Kraków Animal Welfare Society to report the unidentifiable animal on Tuesday, April 13, saying that residents were afraid to open their windows.

Seriously though, I can understand how people could be concerned. Croissants can look freaky at a distance perched on a limb.

My first thought was what idiots. It never moved. But then I thought perhaps someone was a bit smarter and thought if was a pod of some unknown insect waiting to hatch. If that were the case it could have been either very nasty of very helpful. Something for an expert to decide.
