Still don't agree. Sin warps people, takes away their ability to truly love.
15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.He lets John know on the prophetavision channel:
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell [Hades] delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Rev 20:13)
So Jesus even jailbreaks Richie (shock, horror!). He's the one with the keys, after all. Plus his name is salvation, and his mission statement includes the freeing of the prisoners, as you may recall. Box ticked.
Good news!
And it doesn't even say that. We agree that judgment follows physical life. They seem to be claiming that judgment PROCEEDS the afterlife. And conveniently forget that MERCY is a possible outcome of judgment. The verse I've seen used to shoot down the idea of a second chance is: "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment," Hebrews 9:27. That's the only one I know of.
Yes.

Usually associated with weeping. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. Like when we got saved in the first place. - lolI've heard it said that the gnashing of teeth Jesus talks about is actually a sign of contempt. And it's used that way someplace else in the Bible "they gnashed their teeth at him" or something like that. I'll have to look for it.
Going by Acts of the Apostles 2:31, Ephesians 4:8-10, 1 Peter 3:18-20 and 1 Peter 4:6 many say Jesus already emptied Hell.

And they accuse us of lifting things out-of-context. (sigh)
The preceding verse says Christ appeared once for all to DO AWAY with sin. ECT does NOT do away with sin. It perpetuates it! (eternally)
Hebrews 9:26-28 NIV
Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

The way I remember it is you die, you stand before the white throne judgement, your name isn't found in the Lamb's book of life, an angel hurls you into the lake of fire.

And you get hurt.
Well it might or might not represent Israel, but it doesn't change the reality of Hades. As I understand it, there is if the rich man represents Israel. Not in the parable itself but in other scripture regarding Israel. Some have equated the gulf of separation in the story to this well known image:
Well it might or might not represent Israel, but it doesn't change the reality of Hades.
They overlooked searching the Scriptures to see how "eternal" is actually used in the NT,I don't know what that's supposed to mean.
Another thing I wanted to say is that the other two views aren't something I would want to experience.
Can the same be said for those who reject damnation?
