Nancy Armour at USA Today opines that "Bigotry comes with a price." In other words, if one is a Christian and Jesus Christ is their LORD, the LGBQT+ community has declared ad hominem war against those who believe in God's Holy Word. Speaking out in support of God's Word will cause the "Trans-sexual" community to label you as a bigot. Failing to publicly support anyone who calls themselves queer is tantamount to being labeled a racist.

Christ said if you follow Him you will be hated by the world.

What shall you do? Follow the world in order to fit in and not be labeled a bigot or a racist. Or, obey Jesus Christ who died for our sins, faithfully defend God's Word, and by His grace alone find eternal salvation in the presence of the LORD...

When the writer suggests that "legislators are willing to sacrifice all of it because of their own hate, ignorance and/or political calculation" perhaps she fails to consider that enough of the legislators are choosing "eternal glory" over hosting the approval of man, by hosting the "Final Four" in their city and state.

Opinion: NCAA must make states with anti-trans laws pay with loss of championships

What are you writing about? The LGBQT+ community has not declared ad hominem war against those who believe in God's Holy Word. Many Christians have ignored Jesus' command to love your neighbor and attacked the LGBTQ community. In case you've forgotten John 3:16 says that God loved the world, i.e., everyone, without exception.

This is such a tired, and overblown, issue. The culture has changed. What used to be taboo is now accepted. What is a Christian to do? It's easy, be the best Christian you can be. If folks want to accept homosexuality, and you don't, oh well. That's how it goes.

Who said society in general was supposed to be Christian? Is that what we expect? I have no issue with the whole revolution we've seen regarding lgbqt. I certainly desire no paternalistic control by religious folks. Live at peace as far as we are able, keep our own side of the street clean, and make sure our love is obvious, unmistakable. That's what we are called to do.

The finger waving and pearl clutching is tiresome, and pointless.

The world is sick. Why defend it? If Christianity taught the Kingdom as a counter-culture to the world of man as Jesus did, perhaps the confusion would be less. Grain can live among tares but it need not become a hybrid. The parable of the sower says it can happen, but need not be so.

Many Christians have ignored Jesus' command to love your neighbor and attacked the LGBTQ community.
Just as many Christians failed to understand that love is not equal to tolerance. Supporting sexual sin and saying "go on with it, God loves you anyway" instead of warning people of the eternal consequences of their behaviour is just the opposite of biblical love.
If the world does not hate us because of our beliefs it is questionable whether we are true followers of Christ.

"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." - John 15:19

A couple of years ago Dan Cathy CEO of Chick-fila was being interviewed. The interviewer, evidently knew he was a Christian, asked him his view on marriage and all he said was "I believe in the Biblical view of marriage." One would have thought he called for lynching all LGBTQ they immediately called for a boycott of Chick-fila. Who attacked whom?

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

....

If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1 Peter 3, 4

1 Peter does not get the attention it deserves. It is essentially the Field Manual for Ambassadors of Heaven Assigned to the Earthly Nations.

How come no protests over Sodom and Gomorrah ? People seem to like to claim the past as their own these days.

Here's the way I feel about it: LGBTQ people are sinners in need of redemption, just as I am a sinner in need of redemption. So I have to love the people. However, I cannot support the promotion of the LGBTQ lifestyle or movement.

Certainly I don't think LGBTQ people should be discriminated against, or be met with violence. The problem (according to the current narrative) is that it's not enough to accept them as people or individuals, you have to agree with their lifestyle, you cannot believe the behavior is sinful, or you will be labeled a bigot.

They don't just want acceptance, they want us to declare their behavior normal. They also seem to be engaged in recruiting, especially among the upcoming younger generations. And that's not even going into the issue about school counselors sending children to get puberty blockers without their parents knowledge or consent.

The ad hominem attacks are a key element of the gay-activist playbook against anyone, especially true Christians, who believe God's Word and obey His commandments. Look no further than the indoctrination being thrusted upon generations of our children, conditioning them to either accept the LGBTQ+ lifestyle or become tagged racist homophobes.

Schools are being indoctrinated with the world's value system, which right now is seriously messed up.

I do not believe that the LGBTQ lifestyle or the movement is compatible with the Christian life.

That's true. I've been saying for more than twenty years that the issue of celebrating LGBTG will become for Christians in the US what sacrifices to the dead Caesars became for second-century Christians in Rome.

However, I also don't believe it's the mission of the Body of Christ to force unbelievers to act like believers by the sword of the earthly king.

Our mission is to make disciples, and one of the primary methods given us by Christ is to present to the world His Body so beautiful in love and grace that His name will be praised even by those who shun Him.

One pastor has said, "If you sent your children to Caesar's schools, don't be surprised if they turn out to be Romans."

You mean going beyond the ol' live and let live adage and demanding recognition (and perhaps a degree of conformity)??
Seems there are a multitude of perspectives represented within the lifestyle, yet their common denominator seems to be "we're born that way" and "culture changes" therefore we are as normal as the next "pronoun."

While it is true that cultures change over time, that is no license to re-write God's law to man. Neither God nor His word changes. God demands we repent our sins and turn to Christ Jesus for salvation, or face His wrath.

Ask any stead-fast gay-activist to offer proof that they were born gay. What's next? Bi-sexual's demanding 3-way marriages in order to satisfy their lustful desires to be happy... There's no end to the wicked nature of the world.

That response will change as soon as the genetic cause of homosexuality is found (if there is one). That will mean that homosexuality might be curable and certainly will be detectable before birth...which will then create a question for the same group of whether such babies can/should be aborted if the mother wishes.
