Released in 1976, I've never thought of Boston as an 80s band. Even Third Stage which was released in the 80s shuns synth and drum machines which are quintessential to the 80s vibe.

That said, the first Boston album is stunningly great from needle drop to the final run out and paper.

I love Boston. Thom Scholz is genius. He was making music at home way before the 2020 pandemic.
