God invented sex. Not only did he create it for procreation, but he intended for it to be fun and enjoyable (within marriage). If the fall hadn't happened, where would children come from? I doubt they grew on trees. I'm sure they had plenty of sex before the fall.

Gen.1:27&28
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

Would have been a little hard to comply with the command if Eve didn't have a uterus.

ps. what business is it of yours to enquire of their sex life? It's a private matter between them as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, this is right where I was going to go. Doesn't explicitly say they did, but it would take all kinds of unexplained gyrations to go from being able to multiply without sex to having creation of sex become part of the fall.

Something tells me no, because I think God created the uterus after the fall when He said that the woman will toil to bring forth child. I don't think that toil was in the original plan. What do you think?
God said childbirth will now bring pain, suggesting that before that decree it did not, which suggests childbirth was possible beforehand, only lacking in pain.

Where would babies come from if Eve didn't have a uterus?

Does Genesis tell us they didn't have any children before the fall? They certainly would have had many children besides Cain and Able.

If they had, I'm certain Genesis would have mentioned their children prior to the fall. We also know that Cain and Abel were their first children since the bible says so

"Be fruitful and multiply". Before the fall.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So are you saying they had kids before the fall?

Hello Benam, while we are certain that our first parents had other children (besides Cain, Able and Seth) .. e.g. Genesis 5:4, it seems to me that if they had children prior to the Fall/prior to Cain, it would have, at the very least, warranted a passing reference in the Holy Writ.

The other thing is, they would have been born without a fallen nature, as would their entire progeny, so were are their immortal/sinless children living today (unless they fell into sin as well, separately from Adam and Eve?). As far as we know however, "nobody's perfect" remains our race's most common saying, because ALL of us are sinners.

There is plenty of evidence that our first parents existed and that they did what the Bible said they did, but there is no evidence whatsoever that babies were born to our progenitors prior to the fall,is there

Thanks!

There is also no evidence stating the opposite. Don't assume to know what God considers relevant to be in scripture, when man's understanding pales in comparison to Jesus. Not believing something because you think it would have been mentioned is not grounds to claim "because it wasn't written about it didn't happen", when in reality, we do not for sure know either way, outside of using what was said in order to make an accurate implication using the text that does talk about this. Its likely going to be one of those irrelevant mysteries that gets answered when we get to heaven.
