The people on this forum that think Satan and his minions are a rouge entity, need to go and read their bibles.

It is true that the devil needs permission from God to do things. But the enemy is deceiving people today in large ways. There are many deceptions of the enemy and the enemy still seeks to tempt and destroy even believers in Jesus Christ. For have you not read into believers who appear to accept things that are really wrong? This means they are being deceived by the enemy.

Except the inconvenient fact that Revelation was written in 90 AD, after the destruction of Jerusalem.

this not a fact it’s debatable which have no time for.

Thank you for your information.

I wouldn't go by Josephus when it comes to Revelation. Remember, as you said, he was not a believer. Just read the Scriptures and let God talk to you and ask Him what His Word is really saying. For me: It does not sound like you are reading and believing Revelation 20 in regards to the 1,000 year reign of Christ. We clearly are not in the Millennium time period yet because Christ is not actually physically reigning in any country here on the Earth yet. Also, read Isaiah 65:17-25. It gives you a decription of the Millennium. Based on that description: We are not in that time period yet.

Thank you for your viewpoint here.

Yes, I have known that for a very long time. So why are you reading up on a Jewish guy when believers today are no longer a part of the Jewish religion? Granted, I am not saying that you cannot do so, it just does not seem as beneficial to me as a believer in the best use of my time when I can spend more time reading the Bible instead.

okay thank you for your comment here, I’ve never read Josephus.

I cast out a demon in the Lord's name. I had other encounters with demons and I was not having any mental problems. So no. It is insane to claim that the devil is not operating today and by his minions. That is exactly what the devil wants you to believe. He either wants men to ignore his existence altogether or to get you to deny he is not around anymore. Same thing. That's a serious problem. For verses like Ephesians 6 about the amor of God must not be applicable to you. For the whole purpose of putting on the armor of God is to stand against the devil's schemes. If there is no devil around, then there are no deceptions of the devil that you need to be worried about (and thus you can easily fall prety to his many deceptions). But you have to believe the enemy is still around deceiving others in order to see the deceptions.

I don’t believe you were mentally ill, was saying that there are mentally ill people in the world.

Okay, won’t knock you for what you believe.

Revelation is the most misinterpreted and misunderstood book in the Bible as i have said many times.

Um, that would actually be the entire bible. Revelation is no different from the rest of the bible, in how it is to be understood.

Okay, won’t knock you for what you believe.

Then there has to be a rational explanation as to my casting out a demon, and encountering other demons (being a believer) instead me being mentally ill. So then... how do you explain my experience? Surely you must believe it must be a delusion of some kind (of which I do not subscribe to). Where did this delusion come from? You do realize other believers have had similar encounters, right? Are they being deluded, as well? If so, by what? How?

Christians have even cast out aliens in the name of Jesus, too. Those who encountered aleins smelled brimstone and sulfur (Which is what others also experience sometimes when they had ghost encounters). The deceptions of the enemy are rampant. But again, if you don't believe the devil is around, you can fall prey to believing in following the alien religion today or get caught up in ghost encounters (Which are just demons in disguise). This again is the problem in not believing the devil is around. You have to throw out Ephesians 6 because it does not apply to you because the devil is not around. There is no need for you to put on the armor of God. No schemes of the devil to worry about. But see... that is exactly where the devil wants a person to think. For if one does not know there is any scheme of the devil, they will of course fall prey to one of them in some way.

Revelation being the one that is definitely the most misinterpreted and misunderstood by far.

No just believe Jesus Christ had the victory over death, sin, Satan, and the grave.

Don’t believe demons are around anymore or Satan either. Cause scripture says Satan and his angels where cast into the lake of fire.

You don’t gotta believe me, but I just believe Jesus Christ had the power to overcome and have victory.

@AubreyM

I remember watching a video by a pastor one time. He was talking about how the word “owls” in one place in Scripture can be interpreted as in being in reference to demons. The Pastor then started to talk about how there is a relationship between owls and the grey aliens based on the fact their eyes are both almond shaped. At the time, I ignored this and just listened to the other part of the sermon I wanted to hear, but a long while later (about a year or so afterwards) I seen a movie trailer called the 4th Kind. In that trailer they had owls and they morphed into the grey aliens. There were also scenes of people acting like they were being possessed by these aliens (i.e. demons). To see this kind of thing and to say there is no devil around is to truly cover one's eyes from the truth of things.

Not really. If people understood the rest of scripture, they would understand Revelation, because Revelation is interpreted by scripture, just like the rest of the bible.

If one misunderstands Revelation, it's because they misunderstand the rest of scripture, because it is to be understood spiritually, rather than physically, like everybody understands it.

That’s intriguing Bible highlighter.

If we gotta take everything in the Bible and apply everything literally today then we have a huge standard to live up to in my opinion applying a literalism on the modern society today wouldn’t you think?

No just believe Jesus Christ had the victory over death, sin, Satan, and the grave.

Faith is more than that. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith is more than just an acknowledgement of a set of facts, too. Faith is a matter of the heart (Romans 10:10) whereby it transforms us (Romans 12:2-3) and moves us to put forth the “work of faith” (1 Thessalonians 1:3, 2 Thessalonians 1:11). For faith without works is dead (James 2:17). For we are justified by works and not faith alone (James 2:24). For even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19).

You said:

When the book of Revelation talks about this, it is prophetic and still yet in the future.

You said:

Again, that does not change the fact that Satan is still around today. To say so otherwise is to simply not believe the Bible in what it says. The events in Revelation have not happened yet including Satan being cast into the lake of Fire. Have you heard about demons coming up out of the ground? Have you heard about 1/4th of the world dying? These things are in Revelation and they clearly have not happened yet. If so, then Satan has not been cast into the Lake of Fire yet. The Bible is also a book of prophecy.

Look at the many end times experts who think they have Revelation sussed out! They are like grains of sand on the beach. Youtube is full of so called Revelation 'experts'.

Have you never felt pure evil before? That's most likely a demon.
This usually happens when you see dark things like horror movies, etc.

Know that have lived a lot in darkness most of my life. God set me free of the darkness. Use to believe satan and demons where around but not anymore, because of what scripture says about Satan and his angels.

You realize we are not going to agree don’t you.

It’s okay, my belief is different. You see future, I see it all being fulfilled.

Anyone can say I don’t read or believe the Bible or whatever but that is conjecture.

Owls are actually men. Men who prefer the dark.

Ecc 3:16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
Ecc 3:17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
Ecc 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Whenever you see animals in scripture (beasts) it's referring to men, including insects and birds.
