"Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti react to reports that Gov. Andrew Cuomo arranged for his family members, including CNN's Chris Cuomo, to receive scarce COVID tests during home visits from NY health staffers."

I'm not too surprised by this. I mean I think people often assume that people close to politicians get perks etc. but at the time Chris was sick last year didn't think this was happening (assumed he was just your regular upper class New York celebrity).

In the first place, Chris Cuomo had a very early, serious case of COVID putting his family, friends and colleagues at risk. They were all in a high risk category due to his exposure.
Secondly. Cuomo worked closely with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and other medical media personalities who would have more access to tests than the governor 150 miles away.

The problem is this is more than just Chris Cuomo, which I could kind of understand but that still would be against NY state law. But Cuomo apparently was also doing this, for his other friends, and many of the rich people in New York city who presumably were his patrons.

Which he was so worried for others that he left quarantine any time he felt like it.

CNN's Chris Cuomo was 'like a boiling pot' in Easter clash over breaking quarantine, cyclist says

CNN's Chris Cuomo resembled "a boiling pot" when he was confronted for not self-quarantining with the coronavirus earlier this month, a Long Island, N.Y., bicyclist told Fox News Friday night.

David Whelan shared his story during an appearance on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

At that point, Whelan said, he thought he recognized Cuomo, who announced March 31 that he had tested positive for coronavirus. Whelan said he asked Cuomo if he had the coronavirus and was supposed to be in self-quarantine.

"I think his next words were, 'What the (expletive deleted) do you know about this? What do you know about the rules?'," the cyclist recalled.
Yeah, he is a peach!

Secondly. Cuomo worked closely with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and other medical media personalities who would have more access to tests than the governor 150 miles away.

The Cuomo family runs a lot like the Gotti family - they do what they want - give favors to family and friends and get violent (verbally) when questioned about it. Thugs are what thugs do and say.
