It looks pretty good, they've been doing rehearsals for the past month or so. One of our correspondents is joining the team and will be splitting time between News Nightly and In Depth, it's a smart move cause he puts together some good feature stories that require more time to develop, it's a good fit for him!

I hope so! I know everyone who's working on it has been working their butts off to get it ready.
I’m just curious and you do not have to answer if you do not want to. But don’t you feel EWTN could be a bit more engaging? It seems to have kind of been in a slump since Mother Angelica died. I’d love to see more shows like what is mentioned in the op.

I'm not sure what things are like at HQ in Alabama but I think the news division in DC has been going through somewhat of a transition over the past year or so. If it were up to me I'd love to see EWTN give the platform to voices like Steve Skojec and Eric Sammons, maybe even guys like Tim Gordon and Taylor Marshall. I think they appeal to younger viewers, or at least a broader age-range of them.

But as I understand it the main programming that comes out of Alabama remains unchanged in a lot of ways because many of EWTN's donors are older Catholics who prefer the more "nostalgic" content. Since the network relies on their generosity, if it lost a significant portion of them because it changed the programming to something they disliked or couldn't connect with, then that would hurt the network pretty bad. I suppose it's the price to pay when it's not advertiser-supported television...

I'm in for 'World Over' with Raymond Arroyo. Part of our regular Thursday evening. He has had some firecracker guests.

Yep that's probably one of the more popular programs on the network, it's a beast to put together though.
