Joe Biden promised to heal the country, to be president of all Americans.

But when I hear what he did after he became president, it seems he only served the interests of his voters. But since I am a foreigner who looks from the outside (Germany), I may have missed something.

So my question is: Did Biden anything which could help to reconcile those who voted for Trump? Or is he only "bipartisan" with respect to non-Trumpist Republicans?

My take on it is:

I think it was a declaration reflecting on how the previous president acted consistently in a country dividing fashion.

This should be a standard expectation of the president, but it was important to say based on the events of the previous 4 years.

Healing and being president for all is not the same as being bipartisan. It is being willing to listen to9 both sides and to keep them both in mind. To not try to set the two sides against each other as a means to power.

What is Biden expected to do with people who are absolutely convinced that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump by a vast conspiracy which expanded to include Republican state officials, Trump-appointed Judges and the US Department of Justice?

The only way he could make a lot of Trump's voters even slightly satisfied is by abdicating his post to Donald and then throwing himself from the nearest tall building. And even then, they'd probably still be mad at him for taking so long.

I don't quite understand the USA political system, but I would expect that a candidate runs an election campaign based on a set of policy promises, and if they win, it is assumed that the voters voted based on those policies.

If Biden then turned around and implemented Republican policies instead, it would be rather odd wouldn't it?

However, on the media front, I haven't seen Biden or his press secretary blaming everything on the Republican party, I haven't seen them publicly attack "conservatives" in general.

If it comes down to looking for opportunities to find some kinda of "middle" ground with policies that are going to irk the right I'm not sure what negotiations Biden can do with the Republicans, especially given what they did to Obama when he tried to negotiate with them, and given that Trump still seems to have a strangle hold on that party and that Trump doesn't care at all about compromising or unity and neither it seems do Trump's avid supporters.

No, they do not think he is a legitimate President. There is nothing he can do.

I don't think every 70 million voters are like that. Of course, such people as you describe cannot be reconciled, until they repent, and if they don't repent, you have to outlive them.

And it is hard to find anything that could be a step toward the Trump camp, but is not too indecent to be implemented.

What is Biden expected to do ...
When I heard his promise, I asked myself what he planned to do. It seems he had no plan, and no idea, like we all here.

Indeed -- "point and laugh" is a good enough response from us, but the POTUS must be held to a higher standard.

Most Trump voters dont even think Biden legitimately won the election. I dont think Biden can bridge that gap.

On average 1.8 million vaccines are given each day, when the Covid relief bill passes , Americans who are eligible will get $1400, these are all welcome by most Americans except for 10%-15% die hard Trump supporter who lives in alternative reality.

You don’t have to pass bipartisan bill to be uniter. You don’t have to sing kumbaya with opposition party to unite the country.

Just do the right thing for the people, improve their lives, and don’t demonize others and have civility . that’s all you need and that is what Biden trying to doing.
