The scriptures call this obedience. It is not simply a matter of believer/unbeliever.
It is the duty of the believer.
1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by
the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that "Jesus is Lord "
except by the Holy Spirit.
Lord is a title used by a servant to address his master.
You can believe, but will you serve Him?
Romans 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience
to the faith among all nations for His name.
1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves declare concerning us what
manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols
to serve the living and true God.
Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken,
let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love
the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve
God and mammon.
Luke 17:10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, We are unprofitable servants.
We have done what was our duty to do.
It is the duty of the believer.
