Based on a close reading of John 3:3-5 there is a difference:

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

It's like saying you cannot see the needle, much less thread it.

I don't get your analogy.

So interpreting scripture with scripture, the Holy Spirit via Paul states in I Corinthians 15:50:
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Being 'born-again' is just step one in the salvation process.
You must be "transformed by the renewing of your mind" - Romans 12:2

Would you like to expand on why you feel this distinction is significant and what understanding it leads to.
Salvation is "spirit, soul and body" - I Thess 5:23.
What is known as being 'born-again' is the salvation of your spirit.

If you understand the kingdom, it's nothing like what they believe and preach today, then you can understand Paul who like Jesus, preached the gospel of the kingdom.

Since the Gospel means 'Good News' -
What is Good News to a dying mortal?
You don't need to be mortal anymore.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting to continue in the faith,
and We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.

Psalm 98:2 The Lord has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

2 Peter 1:

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure,
for if you do these things you will never stumble;
11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting
kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Good scriptures on ENTERING the Kingdom, if not, you end up dead like the masses in the "Wide Gate to Death" - Matthew 7:13

I don't think the human spirit is made perfect at the point of being born again and the promise of sanctification is given fo all three parts, body soul and spirit. The perfection of all three comes at resurrection time.

You have it in reverse order, not 'body soul and spirit'. The Bible says, "spirit soul and body".

You might also read Hebrews 12 to correct your thinking:

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

The "good news" is about the kingdom. To the first century populace "seeing" and "entering" would be the same. It will not always be so.

The kingdom gospel tells us that Jesus is the hope for the whole world. Not just to those currently saved and called. He will come and take over rulership and show us proper governing.

Dan. 2:44 "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."

Rev. 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."

Nope. You can SEE the Kingdom and never ENTER it.
As is the whole christian world so far "living after the flesh" unto death. Romans 8:13

This is a reference to the life after resurrection...

The heavenly Jerusalem has not yet arrived.
