Lady Bug has been taking care of her mother for years now. She lost her mother between 1:30 and 1:45 this morning. Please pray for her dear mother’s soul and the rest of her family during this difficult time. Lady Bug is the lone Christian living in a Muslim family. So this extremely difficult for her on that level as well. Please pray for her, her mother, and the rest of her family.

Thank you!

Prayers said for LB and her mom, may Christ have mercy on her soul. No one knows for sure what really went on in someones heart towards the end of life.

Poor Lady Bug has had a lot of stress. Praying for God’s peace that passes all understanding.

I'm so sad to hear that. May God be gracious to her in her trials.

Thank you for your prayers. I can't have any peace yet about this because I don't know where she is. I was checking her room at 1:30 and she was breathing very shallow and fast and I was worried she was running out of oxygen, but I thought she'd calm down. But about 15 minutes later I noticed that there was no sound coming out of the room and I found that to be disturbing because she was making noise all day and all night with that odd breathing. So I went in there and I saw that she was not breathing, her eyes looked totally blank, staring off into nothing and her mouth was gaping open, and it was by far the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen. I was in the next room and during that time her spirit had left her body and must have been in my mom's room for awhile before it went who-knows-where. Naturally her spirit could not come to me and say goodbye. I wish I knew for a fact what happened to my mom, how she's doing and if she's sad she had to leave me like that. The funeral home people couldn't come until about 3 hours later, but they did come, but unlike some people who have a peaceful countenance on their face at death, her skin was pale (it was glowing, but in an eerie way), her eyes were wide open as if the last moment of her life was plagued with agony. The frozen look that you'd probably have in your eyes if you thought you saw a ghost or demon, that's the look she had. How can I find peace with this knowing that this was the last expression on her face? What happened when she faced God? :(

My life feels so empty without her today. She normally sat with me at the table every night while we were eating together and no one is sitting by me now. The hospice people took away the bed, hoyer lift, and food table that were supplied to us in the beginning, which is what was supposed to happen. I have started to declutter her room a lot but there's so much laundry that has ensued from this that I don't want to wash it because her dresser drawers are already stuffed with stuff and I have nowhere to put them. Looks like the hamper is going to remain dirty for awhile. I used to hug her, "sniff" her face, give her kisses and there's no one in my mom's room now, she's gone :( As hard as it was to take care of her it feels infinitely worse without her.

Lady Bug, my grandmother died with that look on her face. It really does not mean anything spiritually. Try to remember that. :( Know that our love and prayers go with you, your mother and your family. You are a wonderful daughter and just know you have done your mother and the whole family proud. I desperately pray for your comfort and peace. You deserve it. ***hugs***

I realized I didn't do any praying today for her:|

Before her death I did some really good prayers for the dying, for her, and after she died (and she was still in the room), I said some prayers for after a person dies, and I felt a sense of accomplishment for trying to help her out with that. If I didn't do that, I think I'd feel even worse. But today I didn't do anything and I feel bad. I couldn't concentrate on anything.

Just remember, God knows your heart and your intentions. Prayers can include actions, desires, etc. You’ve prayed today, just not in the way you are used to doing it.

(((((hugs))))))My dear friend. Please forgive yourself, you were a good daughter and your mother loved you, she wouldn't want you to feel guilty.

As to her frightened look, it was more than likely due to her very laboured breathing, I doubt if it meant anything else.

That empty feeling is perfectly normal when grieving, and to now not have her with you is indeed very stressful. Cleaning her room is no easy task, take it slowly, perhaps donate some of her belongings to places like the Salvation Army.

Please know that we all care, our Lord cares too and grieves with you. Lean on him during these hard times. (((((Hugs)))))

You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts.

Thank you for your prayers. I can't have any peace yet about this because I don't know where she is..
Just remember that God is more merciful than any of us. And that he has heard your prayers and felt your anguish. Powerful and unpredictable emotions are normal loosing a parent. And I've found that even years later they aren't all resolved. Which gives yet another opportunity to pray for them.
