US Politics is a lose - lose situation.

You have one party that will not help the less fortunate, and you have one party that is in favor of human sacrifice. Both parties fight against each other without rest. If Church history were a mirror of the histories of Israel ... perhaps Isaiah 65:1-5 would resonate.

As long as Catholics are in either one political camp or the other we will be at war with ourselves. And it will be a political war where our faith, the actual faith, ends up trashed. We don't fit in one party or the other. We definitely don't fit in the party of death. We don't fit very well in that other party either. I've tried both over the years. It's all just too toxic. Not politics itself, which can theoretically be noble, but these two hateful parties. Neumayr is right, absolutely nailing it, but only so far as he went. Trumpism was unhealthy. Bidenism will be a failed moral mess yet with the support of Catholics and Catholic pundits and Catholic bishops until Harrisism takes over. Watch out.

In full reality, only about 1-2% of the people who attended that march actually stormed the building.

We can only hold people accountable for their own actions, sure someone told you to do something, but if it was you who did it, you bear the crime and thus the consequence.

The actions of the KKK are not accountable to all Christians, the actions of some radical terrorists do not reflect the beliefs of all Muslims. In the same the actions of those few people who did something stupid do not reflect the intentions of your president. Trump is a good man, it is a shame people have let their anger and hate overall their judgement, it shows a lack of inner light even if you disagree with him.
