What is the gospel of Jesus? Is it merely the news that he was born in a manger? Is it confined to the miracles and healing Jesus did while walking the earth? Maybe it's simply the news of his death and resurrection? Well, all of these things are a part of the gospel, but the good news that Jesus preached is much more "... Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God" (Mark 1:14). This is the gospel of Jesus. Nowadays many fail to preach the gospel of God's kingdom. Why? The bible teaches that Satan has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Jesus said that many would come preaching in his name and yet deceive many (Matthews 24:5). This is why pastors everywhere claim to be fulfilling the great commission (spreading the gospel all over the world), but never mention the coming of God's kingdom. Therefore, many people are deceived and have not heard the gospel of Jesus. Instead they hear and believe another gospel, which teaches that they are going to heaven. This is not the gospel of Jesus!

All over the bible, from the promise to Abraham in Genesis to the second coming of Jesus in Revelation, the Lord reveals that his kingdom will be on earth. This message is supposed to be good news to us, especially considering the condition of the world. We should be glad to know that God is going to straighten out the trouble and confusion that's presently in the world. Jesus even told us to pray for the fulfillment of his gospel, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Jesus also warned us to repent (turn from our sins) and be prepared for the coming of his kingdom. If we truly believe the gospel, then we will obey God's commandments. "...The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9).

However, Jesus said the meek are blessed because they will inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5). Now why in the world would the meek want to inherit the earth if God is supposed to take us to heaven? Maybe the meek are not so blessed after all?! Yes, the meek are blessed because they will be on the earth, in God's kingdom. "...but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth" (Proverbs 10:30). Therefore, repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). Jesus never promised to take us to heaven. As a matter of fact Jesus said that no man went up to heaven except he (speaking of himself) that came down from heaven (St. John 3:13). Jesus promised us we would dwell with him on the earth. That's right, Jesus is returning to establish the kingdom of God. If we have faith and obey him, we will rule with him on the earth, "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth" (Revelation 5:10).

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mark 1: 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus came offering The nation of Israel, the Messianic Kingdom.

That is not what people of the church (believers) should be offering people today. We can teach/tell people (at least we should be able to) who are looking for eternal life. How to receive Gods free gift of Eternal Life. Then after that teach them how to be a follower, disciple of The Messiah.

Nowadays many fail to preach the gospel of God's kingdom. Why?
Agreed. The main reason is man likes to have it both ways. Thinking God is on their side and they on His, but at the same time refusing to adhere to His governance/will/Kingdom over their own. They refuse to let go of self serving ways while God says to look to others.

But there is a much older reason, as those leading the religion drew away from the Kingdom. They chose to broadside Jesus and the Kingdom for the opportunity to partner with the secular power of the world 1700 years ago give or take. In doing so they no longer represented the opposing Kingdom of God to the ways of man, but rejoined the world man has made in our own self serving image, establishing an institution modelled upon man's. They went on to become king makers themselves and establishing a secular kingdom of their own in earth.

So... how could a religion that claimed to represent God continue to teach a Gospel that convicted them of their sin of abandoning the Kingdom for the world of man? They couldn't, and as a result manipulated doctrine accordingly and the blind have lead the blind ever since in that respect, including all denominations that came out of that growing religion.

Jesus represented the counter-culture of the Kingdom. Gentiles turned it back into a culture of man as God knew they would (Matthew 20:25), but in this way at least the scripture with the truth of His word, not man's, got carried forward, no matter how misused it became. Those of the Kingdom know the Gospel within, while those of the institution follow another.

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Its first to the Jew and then to the Greeks. There is only one Gospel.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

And that Gospel was his Gospel of the Kingdom and no other. People like to focus on the messenger rather than His message because it distracts from the fact they don't represent the Kingdom but still follow the self serving ways of man. Was Jesus speaking for nothing? Of course the gentiles say we want Jesus but his words don't apply to us. They prefer to put Paul on a pedestal because he headed team Gentile. The governance of God applies to ALL mankind.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ for today's NT believer is found in 1 Cor 15

1 Corinthians 15:
1 Moreover, brethren, "I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you", which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
(NOTE: "I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you")

2 "By which also ye are saved", if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(NOTE: "By which also ye are saved")

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how "that Christ died for our sins" according to the scriptures;
(NOTE: "that Christ died for our sins"

4 And "that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day" according to the scriptures:
(NOTE: "that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day"

Vrs 1-4 Recap: "I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you" "By which also ye are saved" is "that Christ died for our sins" "that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day"

People like to avoid the fact that Paul taught the Gospel of the kingdom, not the twist in doctrine they often present..

Acts 19:8 He (Paul) went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the Kingdom of God

Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. 24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

So the governance of God over the governance of man should not be offered?

The coming kingdom is coming whether any one wants it or not.

That is a different situation than when Jesus was offering the Kingdom to the nation of Israel at His first advent. The nation rejected the offer the first time in Matthew 12 accusing Jesus of doing his miracles by the prince of demons (the sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit)

Same Kingdom same terms. Repent of the self serving ways of man in favour of the ways of God which run polar opposite.

Not sure how your reply in anyway corrects my post unless you think there is another or second Gospel or Kingdom of God.

I feel that you have a bit of a misunderstanding as to what the Kingdom of God is about. Jesus said

Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The kingdom of God is about abiding in the Holy Spirit. The believer has the Holy Spirit in them, and He the Holy Spirit motivates our good works.

Although there will be a time when Christ will be on earth, it is not God's purpose for us to live on this earth.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

I believe the verses you quoted in Mathew have little to do with an earthly kingdom. But rather are a mirror, showing us what we become in Christ.

Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

God is not saying we are blessed when we are sad, no, rather that the sad receive comfort in Christ.

Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

And in this verse, the meek, timid, would normally not inherit anything, but God says in Christ you shall inherit the earth.

The passage is saying what we have in Christ. We were once powerless, not able to have life, but Christ grants us life.

I find this thread a little weird...

Surely The Kingdom exists where Jesus reigns.

If we are truely of Him He reigns in us.

If we hear the Gospel and respond in repentance, the kingdom is extended.

All leads to the same overthrow of man's governance and the restoration of God's.

Jesus is leader under the Father of an entirely different system and government than anything man comes up with. He is an outside threat and His system will destroy man's system soon enough. Left and right will finally unite, but unfortunately to battle Him.
