I took a nice, long hike later in the day. Found a very rough, unused trail with no one around, and it was delicious. So quiet. So peaceful.

That's plenty of information, and I absolutely understand being protective. I've never been to the midwest! A pity. One dream I harbor is to visit all 48 contiguous states by car, and take my time exploring them.

I can't imagine there's a magnet out there with "Nerd Girl" on it But maybe I'll be surprised.

I'm bad at relaxing sometimes I painted instead, which is enjoyable, but still physical work. I don't think I slept very well, so I'm still tired today. Woe to me!

I tend to stay in motion too. Been doing a bit better with the sleep and relaxation lately though.

Now I think my tiredness may be illness-related. Been feeling an itchy throat, stuffy nose, upset tummy, and pressure-filled head as the day goes on. Ah, the joys of womanhood! Why do I say that? Because I am ten times more likely to catch a cold during that most wonderful week of the month, when our immune systems plummet.

I don't want to be a lazy slug tonight, but I guess I shall Blankets, couch-sitting, lots of fluids, and some fresh fruit to get the vitamins going. Hopefully, I can head this off before it becomes anything more than a vague annoyance.

Even when the restrictions were relaxed, being that close to someone in proximity, just wasn't safe.

Even before the pandemic, my body had become sensitive to diseases and toxins my body takes in through various sources. So just sitting there, knowing I'm getting sick would be kind of stupid for me.

I can just tie it back for now if needed, and think about tying it in 8 directions if it gets too long, musing on the octopus.

I am well acquainted with that feeling, Michael My hair is thick and heavy and I call it "the monster". A cut may be in order soon!

I just got a call from my son. He works at a nearby hospital and one of his co-workers (an elderly woman) fell at home and broke her leg. If you'd care to keep her in prayer, her name is Betty. He was calling to ask if it's okay if he volunteers to cover some of her hours, since they'll be short-staffed while she's recovering. It would mean going in at 6am. I told him, of course it's okay!

I'm so proud of him for stepping up to help, and being willing to get up so early to do so. I raised a good egg.

I’m irritated today. Drove out of town to get my mother-in-law’s first Covid vaccine and the computers are screwing things up. They had her down for a test instead of a vaccination. Ugh! So now her first vaccination is February 15. Was trying to get it done ASAP because she has bloodwork scheduled and a bone density test she cannot get done until her vaccines are completed. She want to see her sister as well and they do not want her to till the vaccinations are completed.
