Our worries about the US presidency aren't necessarily over.

I find clips like this concerning.

@0:25 regarding the inauguration, Biden says "it's a good thing I'm not showing up".

It would be a good thing, but I'm sure he'll have people reminding him he needs to attend and making sure he gets there. The age of the gaffs is upon us & time can be a vicious thing.

Listen again. Biden did not say, "I." Biden said, "He indicated he wasn't going to show up..." Biden was referring to Trump.

He did say "it's a good thing I'm not showing up". And this is just one of several times that he's gotten his words jumbled in a way that indicates he might be becoming senile or in the early stages of dementia, which unfortunately happens to some people when they're 78 years old.

Below is a screenshot I made of the video with closed caption on.

Listen to the video. Stop reading quotes and listen yourself. He didn't say it.

I agree with Joe. There is no need for a distraction by having any crowd present booing Trump.

Not only are our worries not over, but they are only beginning.

Had the victors simply accepted success, things COULD have proceeded well. Unity COULD have been encouraged, etc., BUT the leadership of that party decided to take the opportunity to guarantee a one-part government for the future and, also, to consider any and all persons who did not get on board with their own cause this past year to be enemies of the state who must be eliminated from public life at the least. It's a tragic development that will have longlasting consequences.

He certainly wasn't saying it in reference to himself. He was clearly saying it as a quote of Trump.

There is nothing wrong with his faculties. I suppose there will be a bunch of silly claims popping up now.

Had the one who lost not instigated insurrection and sedition, nor his son nor Guiliani, and had not those who lost not tried to overtake the Capitol and overtake the Congress to the threat of lives, the victors would not be wanting to impeach the current president since the Republicans will not step up and stop it.

As a reminder of what went on last Wednesday, watch this - at least from the 2:10 mark:

"Hang Mike Pence" - wow. Just because Trump was upset when Pence did not violate the Constitution.

The incoming administration will be a breath of fresh air and an end to the American Carnage that Trump caused.

Every extremist cause has to have its functional myths. Otherwise, it would be impossible to justify the ferocity and the commitment of that movement.

This one you've recounted for us is nothing special. It's just one (or two) more being added to the fifteen or so that were tried out earlier and fizzled, one after another. They do seem to be coming in more rapid succession lately, though.

Democrats did accept success. Democrats didn't incite an insurrection.

Your post makes little sense.

But talk about extremist causes and myths - Trump is the extremist cause that many are creating myths about. Specifically that he really won the election. And that lie has been debunked in recounts, 60 lost court cases, and more. Just because Sydney Powell and Lin Wood and Trump and Guiliani spew the lie that he actually won did not make it so. He lost by 6 - 7 million votes and lost the electoral college 306 - 232.

But he gave speeches and tweeted repeatedly how he really won and was cheated....and on 1/6/21, worked up the crowd and added Guiliani who spoke of 'trial by combat", and Don, Jr. who fired the crowd up with how they need to "fight".

It was disgusting.

You think that calling for the impeachment of the President less than a week before his term of office ends anyway constitutes business as usual? And proposing to bar him from seeking office (which is what they do in Iran) is just routine stuff? There are are at least a half-dozen other examples that could be mentioned and which refute your proposition.

Those are responses to a president constantly lying to the country and helping to incite an attempted coup. He must be held accountable. He intentionally lied to millions and encouraged them to resist a democratic election - a la Iran's "democracy."
