A rich person could end up being not poor in spirit but not always. A meek heart means one does not think he is righteous but trusting in Christ to save one and change one to be righteous .Unless a person forsake all that he has he can not be Christ disciple. It does not mean not love others but did Jesus want us not to seek to be concerned about others to teach them the true way when he told the man who said he will follow Christ but first he will say to his brethren farewell that he who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God ? Is it once one knows God will perfectly that he should know first for himself he must focus his attention on doing God will to seek to preach to all and trust God to lead others to Him if he is following Christ ? Or they will see what one is doing ? I do believe I do not need to preach to Christians but non Christians as Christians will be saved one day if they were sincere in wanting to do the will of God but they may not be saved upon death unless they do also the works necessary to be saved upon death to be perfected and to be a special disciple to win more to the Lord which they will want or required to be who are not Christians to win non Christians to the Lord but Christians should be also to have greater reward people are judged according to what they know is required of them and if they follow the church what it teaches them if they are following also Christ but trusting the church interpretations of Christ word or if they are following what they know Jesus teaches them in the bible

Or those who are disciples have greater assurance of heaven and inheriting 100 fold it is a more easier path but you can still be saved if you are faithful in doing what no one told you you need to do what you think is all that is required if you are actually following the bible in a lesser way

one possessions should not stop one from seeking first the kingdom of God. God gives us richly all things to enjoy

Does that mean we should enjoy God first and other things secondary that is part of serving God and which we need. Or we can enjoy some things if it will help us focus on God and not be the object or aim of our life to hinder us from seeking God?

Dear brother,
Consider what the Lord Jesus have spoken:

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. -John 6:63

So when the Lord speaks about the poor in spirit in Matthew 5:3 — the words that the Lord have spoken are spirit and life.

Even though they are poor spiritually, they are still in spirit and blessed. Why? Because they are not living their life gratifying the flesh.

So the Lord is not speaking about material possession!

Why the poor in spirit are blessed ? Because they are humble. Those who consider themselves poor in spirit are always humble.
Despite that they are growing spiritually in the knowledge of God, they know that they are much that they need to learn about the vastness of the knowledge of God. They know that all these times they are humbled that they may find God’s grace and grow.
For we have heard that the Lord gives grace to the humble and resist the proud.

What the poor in spirit, need to be concerned with; let us hear what the Lord God have said:

Then I said, "These are only the poor; they have no sense; for they do not know the way of the LORD, the justice of their God. -Jeremiah 5:4

So, we who are poor in spirit need to concern ourselves with having senses to know the way of the Lord and the justice of our God.

How we are to know the way of the Lord ?
This is what we have heard:

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. -Psalms 25:8
He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. -Psalms 25:9
All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. -Psalms 25:10

How are we to know the justice of our God ? This is what we have heard:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. -Romans 1:16

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith." -Romans 1:17

Let us humble ourselves before God and consider ourselves as poor in spirit that the Lord may instruct us sinner in the way to live. That we may find ourselves led by the Spirit of God to do what is right and that the Holy Spirit teaches us to live in His way. For the Lord, Holy Spirit will teach the paths of steadfast love and faithfulness to those who kept His covenant and instructions.

That is how blessed are the poor in spirit!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Gal 5:22-23)

An apple tree doesn't grunt and groan to produce apples.
