There has been much debate on CF over the Presidential election, with some here still claiming that Trump actually won reelection, but the election was somehow stolen from him.

The question is simple: When will you accept the results of the Presidential election? Please explain why.

I accepted the election results when it was called, just like I have with EVERY OTHER election, including all of the elections in which the person I didn't vote for won. What's going on now with Trump is beyond ridiculous and attacks the faith that people have in a democratic government and the election process.

And for that matter, if there had been "massive fraud" then it would have on the part of Trump and his GOP devotees that prevented Biden from winning in even more of a landslide. Trump is an extremely unpopular president outside of the relatively small number of people devoted to him, so it doesn't even make sense that he would win after all of the damage and destruction he's done. to this country and to democracy. Trump is well-known for his lies and for projecting behavior onto others that he is guilty of doing himself.

I'm the one who voted when the electoral college votes... (just thought a heads up was in order since I'm alone.. lol)

But I do think Biden should now be treated as if he were the president elect now (briefings etc, which he's getting) based on how we've treated those who would be the "apparent winner" for decades.

I'm not above reversing that stance and accepting a Trump win based on court rulings etc, but feel it unlikely at this point.

In the end, politics/government isn't my God, God is. I feel safe in His Hand, regardless of how I feel about this (or any other) election.

I voted that Biden is the elect but also that the electoral college needs to be completed. This is not the same situation as Bush / Gore where one state was involved and that it was a slim majority. The states in question have all certified their processes and recounted and very little has changed. Moving forward is crucial. Sadly, won't be a transition as we saw from Bush to Obama where everything was turned over in a very orderly fashion. Instead, Biden and his staff are going to be forced behind the 8-ball to get their administration up and running.

I know. That's why I said even CNN predicted it.
You said “they made the claim,” not “they predicted it.” Two different things.

Now, let’s keep this thread on topic. We are asking when people will accept the results of the election.

Whether or not Biden won the election fair and square isn’t the issue here. What matters is who is more capable of leading our nation as president. Due to the fact that Donald Trump has implemented some stellar polices that have truly helped make America great again, and also because he truly cares about the wellbeing of our nation, he is more qualified for the job and should remain president for another four years irrespective of how the majority population voted.

So you don’t believe in democracy? And many people would not agree that Trump implemented “stellar policies.”

to keep this thread on track, what was your vote in the poll?

Are you taking that post seriously? I thought it was parody.
