Is faith for the weak and hopeless people only?
Faith is required for all people everywhere nearly all of the time. We put faith in other people (spouses, doctors, dentists, hairdressers, plumbers, restaurant chefs, etc.) and in services (public transit, taxis, postal service, police service, etc.) and in things (light switches, water faucet, vacuum cleaner, lawnmower, etc.) every single day whether one is a Christian or not. So, no, faith is not only for "the weak and hopeless."
Since everyone will die, there is no difference between believers and unbelievers.
There is a HUGE and ETERNAL difference on the other side of death between believers and unbelievers.
All die and never come back.
Jesus came back. And the Bible promises that we will, too, in new, glorified, eternal bodies, to live with Jesus forever.
So, successful people who got a lot of money do not feel they need faith in any version of God.
Only the weak need God to compensate them in after life.
Compared to God, everyone on the planet is weak. Very, very, very weak. The greatest human is less than a microbe to God.
We have been made by God, not just for time, but for eternity. What comes
after we leave this world is far more important than what happens while we are here.
Matthew 16:25-26
25 "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Hebrews 9:27
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
