Our schools are both in person and online.

I was (and still am) registered as a sub in two districts.

There are surprisingly few absences in one district. The other has more than might be expected. But not enough subs are wanting to go in to the schools.

I can understand that. I got another job almost a year ago, and I haven’t been in the schools this academic year. Masks are required but it seems high-risk, with the number of people coming in and out of the buildings every day.

We were closed last academic year from March through summer. But reopened in August. Many children were not doing well with online-only.

Our house is a mix of morning virtual Kinder and afternoon homeschool. Our virtual school is a private school that is trying to stay open, but with small classrooms and school space everyone was virtual for the past two weeks due to 2 positive cases. Our teacher is amazing and wonderful and has made virtual mornings really great! We opted for virtual because with the size of the school we knew if there is one case, everyone would be shut down, and back and forth, and we would rather be constant with the same routine. No complaint here, kids are doing great and our love of learning continues. Public schools here have gone remote which I think is the right call for the trend in cases we have here.

in our school district & others, teachers are getting sick
must be using subs but with the numbers getting higher each day, they'll run out of subs in our area

The same in our area. Educational process is almost ruined. And we're already talking about education and everything related to it, can you say how to do handle with essay writing processes, for your work purposes, or exams, etc? I always have to pay someone to write my essay , and even they compose pretty nice texts for me, I want to learn how to write essays by myself.

Well we are out now for summer. Our school went all the school year from august to last week in May, May the 20th was our last day.

During the year there was about 20 to maybe 30 kids with this virus and about 7 to 10 teachers.

Also our school enrollment is about 750+ or -

Things are still almost normal here.

I was surprised, talking to the school chaplain earlier this week, to learn that they have only just gone back to singing a week or so ago. Somehow I had imagined that when churches were allowed to sing again (just before Easter) that the school would have, too.

We have 2 more weeks of school. All our teachers at our private school chose to get vaccinated. One assistant's husband died earlier this year from co-vid. We have been remote all year and the actual in person school has been in and out from exposure and active cases all year. Our cases in the city are dropping everyday; I'm pretty sure school in the fall will be in person and I hope the vaccine will be available for younger kids. I'm glad to live in an area where vaccinations are high.

school starts back in-person next month
asked teen yest. if looking forward to going back-
answer no

with online school:
1) no riding school bus so could sleep in morning longer
2) flexibility to switch subjects to different times
etc

teen will miss the online advantages
however, online school is no longer a choice
