I don't prefer digital sarcasm, so I will state my point clearly. Covid virus spreads at "Trump rallies" because people stand for hours in the rain, don't wear masks, and don't keep their distance.
The reason large outbreaks are not associated with protests is that people wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and take care to keep their distance. They also encourage people to drink water, stay warm, and take care of themselves, the sort of things that are needed to keep your immune system running smoothly.
It is not a conspiracy to alter the numbers. Best practices are out there. Some folks just don't abide by them and don't like the outcomes.
Please, I wish to not be arrogant or dismissive. Most folks are just trying their hardest to do what is best for them and their families. My concern is that their sources for health news are not reliable.

Anyone who's actually seen video footage of both knows that that's nonsense. And a moot point anyway because outdoor transmission of the virus is rare.

I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but why is that the Trump rallies get covid but the whole BLM, Statue protests, and whatever leftist event didn't?

I am somewhat haunted by this question.

Not to mention New York's governor Cuomo along with governors of 3 other Democrat-controlled states, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania directing nursing homes to accept covid patients that resulted in 51,000 covid deaths as of Oct 1 according to the Kaiser Family Foundation and a New York Times database. 51,000 covid deaths resulting in lawsuits!

In my state it is illegal to not wear a seatbelt. It is illegal in every state except New Hampshire. I’m not confusing anything.

Well good luck with that as even if you wear a decent quality mask everyone else is wearing 50 cent masks out there spreading Covid around town. I heard somewhere that 70% of the people who caught covid were wearing masks, if that is true doesn't bode well for mask use IMO.

Those not wearing a mask that distance more thoroughly may actually be LESS likely to be infected because the virus just doesn't get where they are while a mask you can end up next to someone infected wearing a mask instead of staying back.

I've read such articles and most often you have "experts" that are biased and also make claims about masks and you find out the masks that their statistics are based on are the highest quality N95 masks properly fitted and used by trained health workers, not 50 cent masks or bandanas or cloth masks at all with people who use them improperly constantly which more mimics the general population IMO.

I still do not believe that people protesting haven't spread the virus to the communities around them. The virus spread at the protest itself may be a lot less than in enclosed areas but the same infected people have to live in the area of the protests and shop in the area and spread the virus that they were infected with several states away at the last protest and the one before that. One thing that people constantly forget and constantly remind us is that island countries such as Taiwan and New Zealand and Australia are dealing with the virus better at times and the reason is that they restrict travel to the maximum this goes against these nationwide band of protesters traveling across the country picking up the virus in one city and spreading it to the local residents of that city and moving on to the next one. I see no difference in doing that and Trump rallies other than even though Trump and his staff tests more often that greatly reduces the chance of spreading it (doesn't reduce it).
Travel is the way this virus spreads and got here, to allow protesters to travel and spread the virus across the country in huge numbers is irresponsible IMO.... and to those trumpeting the word DEADLY..... it fits them.

IMO either Taiwan is locked down still greatly restricting travel and quarantining people incoming or their stats are bogus. If they aren't in some sort of martial law situation from the get go and still under one I say the stats are BOGUS. People trust others to not lie if they like what they say and don't trust people whom they don't like.
There is a lot of lies about this virus going around from the start and still ongoing today.
With that said I'm out of this thread. If you trust a mask to "keep you safe" IMO you are foolish.
