The economy is still below what it was at the beginning of the year. The most recent unemployment report showed 7.9% unemployment. You boast of strength where there is weakness.

With all these state lock downs it's amazing that we had any gains at all. Had Trump fallen in line with the left we would all be starving right now.

Essential workers are working and have been all along. More people have died for Trump’s herd immunity and hospitals are filling up again.

Trump tried to cut 700,000 off of food stamps. What does he care about the starving? He needed stimulus for hotel owners.

Plenty of video still out there of those over flowing hospitals from last time. 99.99 percent survival rate are pretty good odds.

Where are you getting your number from? If we take deaths divided by total Americans (infected and non-infected) we get .069% of Americans have died from this. So at the moment 99.931% of Americans are still left after the damage the pandemic had done up to today. It is impossible for your number to be correct.

Are you taking into account all the false reported deaths? You know like car accidents, getting eaten by an alligator etc.?

COVID-19 is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. this year. 229,000 have died of COVID. There have been unreported COVID deaths as the people died at home before they could be tested. The US leads other developed nations in the number of hospitalized and dead. Korea has about 100 cases a day and a strong economy. China has zero cases a day.

Analysis: COVID-19 Ranks as a Top 3 Leading Cause of Death in the U.S., Higher than in Almost All Other Peer Countries

I wouldn't say it's the 3rd leading cause. A contributing factor, yes. It did however for some odd reason make flu deaths go way down.

Having had covid if I were to die right now from leukemia (I'm in remission) it would be listed as a covid death. My wife had to quarantine and was listed by the health department as positive even though she tested negative three times.

I'm guessing many who'll support the Dems this election will never forgive themselves if they take all this positive direction the nation was experiencing and throw it all away because they didn't like a few of Turmp's tweets.

There's nothing positive about locking kids in cages and separating them from their parents.

The system is not perfect. 20 somethings did not care about the spread of COVID as they may not die. Older people and obese persons may not want to risk spreading the disease. New Zealand has zero covid cases. Melbourne, Australia has zero new covid cases and is open for business. Are these people smarter than Trump?

Trump isn't calling the shots. It's all the states lock down orders that are killing people.

Gosh do you think that Covid might have something to do with that? Trump gave us the best economy we ever had and he will get us back to that level again soon.

'Odd reason'?

Dude, think about it. The same measures people take to protect them from the coronavirus also protects them from other virus. Of course flu deaths are going down! What, do you think wearing masks and social distancing only works on coronavirus and not other infectious diseases?

No, it wouldn't, and you have no way to show that it would. Please stop spreading misinformation like this.

I strongly doubt that.

Let’s examine this thought.

How, exactly, are lockdowns killing people?

If anything, "lockdowns" save lives by preserving the capacity of hospitals to treat people with conditions unrelated to COVID-19.

I strongly doubt that.

You can doubt all you want. It happened.

Every study so far shows that masks have zero effect on the flu.
