No, it would in no way, shape, or form be called treason. Treason is defined by the constitution and this, even if verified, does not fit that definition.

A couple of other points, the first, quoting the article, "Many Post staff members questioned whether the paper had done enough to verify the authenticity of the hard drive’s contents, said five people with knowledge of the tabloid’s inner workings. Staff members also had concerns about the reliability of its sources and its timing, the people said.

"The article named two sources: Stephen K. Bannon, the former adviser to President Trump now facing federal fraud charges, who was said to have made the paper aware of the hard drive last month; and Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, who was said to have given the paper “a copy” of the hard drive on Oct. 11."

The second interesting part, that I won't quote due to CF guidelines on copyright, states that the NY Post staff member that wrote the article, Bruce Golding, refused to allow the Post to use his name (his byline) on the article out of concerns about the credibility of the story. The Post editors then started to press others staff members to attribute the article to and at least one other refused. They finally added Emma-Jo Morris -- who had been a producer for Hannity at Fox News, moved to the Post in April and had not yet had an article published -- and Gabrielle Fonrouge. Ms. Fonrouge, who allegedly had no part in writing the article, only learned her name had been added after the story had been published.

Last, they state that even the Post story hedged a bit, stating an email was “allegedly sent” by Hunter Biden.

Given that the sources of the story are suspect at best and that not even the DOJ is willing to press charges in the matter, perhaps Biden is far shrewder than his opponents have portrayed - by refusing to provide comments that Trump and his supporters would only take out of contest, he has effectively starved this story of the political oxygen needed to prolong its life!

Like the debates, "Trumpworld" was counting on the DOJ at least providing what could be construed as accusations of major wrongdoing that would have provided this President with enough political ammunition to go back on the offensive between now and the 2020 Election!

Biden, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to play by his own rules by refusing to extend to this President the simple courtesy of providing him with just one comment that could later be used against him - is their no limit to the diabolical cruelty devised by the inscrutable, Democratic mind?

The NY Post is a tabloid rag that's dealing in Russian disinformation. There is no point in Biden addressing the claims anymore than we should take seriously the Enquirer's claims that Elvis is alive and well on Mars.
