One of the threads I`ve been tracking has been making me think about Matthew 24:40-41. Do you want to be taken or left behind at this event?

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

Is this the same event as Matthew 24:31

"And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

Note: I already have an opinion about this so be ready to share why you believe your answer is right and I would prefer hearing from those who believe Jesus is coming back to rule the world for awhile before he melts it.

The question is my topic so let`s stay on it.

You would want to be taken into the Ark and taken away by the Ark, not left behind outside of the Ark in the cities people stayed in until the flood killed them.

The first new action is applied to the one taken because it happens first. This would be Noah entering the Ark, and Lot leaving Sodom, and the wise virgins being taken by the bridegroom. In each story the one taken are saved. It is the one left behind that is the one who dies, taken in judgment, not taken to the wedding etc. That's even what the word "left" means in Greek. Be taken like the wise virgins and don't be the foolish virgins that Christ left behind.

Even in the OT and the plague of hail teaches the one taken from the field was taken to safety and the one left in the field died from the hail.

Taken to safety is always first in the various examples and stories. It is always the second one which remains in the same place and wicked spiritual condition which suffers and dies.

Then you suggest two separate rapture incidents?

Matthew 24:31 and Matthew 24:40-41. The answer I keep attempting to get you to give me

That's the same event mentioned twice. It is not two different events.

Ok, thanks for clarification. I feel like I`ve been trying to extract one of your teeth :smilingimp:

I addressed it a couple pages ago but I guess I wasn't clear enough.

I see the rapture being described In Matthew 24-25 as angels gathering the elect, in the act of entering the Ark, Lot being taken by an angel to a safe place, the one taken, the wise virgins being taken by the bridegroom etc. It's one event just described/mentioned multiple times.

That happens on the day of the GWTJ and LOF, not the second coming. At the second coming you want to be "gathered" first because that's the rapture. On the day of the GWTJ, you do not want to be gathered first because the order is reversed.
Acknowledging that I agree there are two events.

Left.

Notice that it doesn't matter how a person feels because almost every Christian in the West will be taken [killed,] just like everybody else in the West.

Why?

Because most would rather die than lift a finger to save themselves - as in be prepared to survive nuclear wars.

What does Jesus mean when he says, he comes like a thief in the night? Well, we all know that thieves are loving and gentle, and just want to take you up to heaven, right? Or do they come suddenly to kill you? Is Jesus causing unthinkable nuclear wars to happen?

The knowledge in the Bible can save people from this fate. People that bury this knowledge [talents] just get to die when the nukes come. Or they get fooled by the Islamic prophet whose name is Jesus.

Didn`t you just call Jesus an Islamic prophet? And say He will cause nuclear war?

The false prophet is Islamic. The name of the false prophet is Jesus. He's a fake Jesus but half the Christians don't know it. It's all there in Islamic prophecy. Jesus comes back as a Muslim and converts the world to Islam. He's with the Islamic Mahdi which Christians would recognize as the Antichrist.

Does Jesus cause nuclear wars?

When he says that he will come back a a thief in the night then he's talking about a nuclear war that he will bring on suddenly. We would recognize this as a Day of the Lord event where nations are obliterated. Google "Day of the Lord" to understand that this is an obliteration event.

Any time Jesus says he is coming back, he's not really coming back. He's obliterating somebody. Or a false prophet. Only when he's coming out of the sky is he coming back. The parables about a returning master where bad things happen to those not paying attention refer to sudden wars that will come and take them away [in death]. Study the Bible and get clues about how to avoid these wars.

Nebuchadnezzar's statue is broken by a stone that hit the statue's feet. However, conceptually that doesn't work because the parts of the statue arise at different times. What works are a serious of stones that smash each part of the statue. In other words, God causes the major kingdoms to fall through smashing or some kind of war.

I appriciate you taking the time to explain what you meant.
