My day has been alright thus far. Been pretty much playing the game all day. Taking a little break for dinner.

I don't want to argue. My head hurts. And we never do that anyway. *pinch

I certainly need a distraction right now.. in the midst of job hunting.. lol. Even if this fictional world I am retreating too is incredibly violent and depressing.. lol.

Although the game has it's more cheerful moments.

I know, but I do find it hard to believe that they could in reality be miserable together if they were sweethearts for that long - longer than a lot of people date and then marry before divorcing, I'll bet - and only broke it off once in all that time for a few months, and apparently amicably so.

Sadly it's only one player. Not sure if it would be your type of game. A lot of progressive stuff in it. Like I said.. I think one of the playable characters is transgender.. although thus far I haven't heard it being confirmed. The game probably doesn't want to confirm it, but just treat her like a female throughout while giving subtle hints. Eh.. lol.

I don't remember my age when I learned the lesson. But I recognize my limitations. I can't control what anyone thinks or feels. Those who know my heart understand my intentions. They know I'm coming from a good place. Those who don't believe what they want. But I won't worry. That's soul draining.

Not to be a gaming moralist preacher or anything, but, you sure it's a good idea to find a violent/depressing game right now to be retreating into in order to be distracted from the hardships of daily life?

.... maybe .... try something more along the lines of a cliched JRPG about cutesy preteen kids trying to save the world with syrupy sweet and romanticized ideals or something? ^-^

Okay, this is weird, Mehguy. I am apparently - at least situationally - a lot more averse to violence in simulation (in this case video games) than you seem to be, yet I'm the one who was never too "scared" to play Resident Evil 2?

Lol, not sure if I can handle that. Tried playing Kingdom Hearts 3 but I had to turn it off.. lol. Also The Last Of Us 2 at least makes me feel better, that the world I live in isn't that bad compared to theirs. Lol.

Lol, it surprised me too. I remember playing Resident Evil 4 and not being so creeped out by it. Yet Resident Evil 2 is more unsettling and claustrophobic. The Japanese also know how to be extra creepy. Lol.

The story is convoluted. One major problem is the magic of Disney isn't quite reached with those games. The dialog is often very cringey. The original voice actors they get to reprise their roles often sound bored and not into it, lol.

It is sillier than previous RE games in many ways, definitely.

But at the same time, I certainly did jump a little once the hooded chainsaw guy first ever got a hold of me. Poor Leon thought he'd be on a pretty simple and straightforward search and rescue that day and be back in the U.S. before dinner, probably. .... And then the moment he met the first zombie in that creepy remote village, his day goes really South from there.

That game is pretty creepy and morbid. You have to make sure every shot counts. I also found the game pretty challenging.

But at the same time, I certainly did jump a little once the hooded chainsaw guy first ever got a hold of me. Poor Leon thought he'd be on a pretty simple and straightforward search and rescue that day and be back in the U.S. before dinner, probably. .... And then the moment he met the first zombie in that creepy remote village, his day goes really South from there.

Sadly I never finished that game. A puzzle segment left me frustrated and I moved on to other games. Although I would say the game is extremely good and probably a 10 out of 10 for me. Just need to go back and play it. Also with older consoles it can add to the creep factor with lower quality audio fidelity. Lol.

It's also more open. Which is probably why it doesn't freak me out the same as Resident Evil 2 did, lol.
