VP Biden, whom Trump mocked for staying in his basement, is 13 points ahead--and one reason is his sane proposals and behavior towards the pandemic.

Given that Trump's recent political forays have been disastrous, doing nothing for two weeks may prevent further erosion of his numbers.

Yes unbelievable news. The Democrats I know are all dancing around for joy but he will probably survive this given the best medical attention in the world despite his high BMI. I wonder how many in his administration also have this and of course since Biden debated him a few days ago, does he have it too? Not sure what the protocol is if both candidates now die of corona. Is it then Pence v Harris for the Whitehouse in NOvember?

I do not celebrate Trump's illness. I hope some good will come out of it. His supporters may start taking more precautions. He may fire the unqualified neuroscientist and start listening to.the experts.

His illness could inadvertently save many American lives.

Trump downplayed COVID-19, said it was just going to go away. Trump rarely put a mask on, joked about Biden wearing one all the time. Now Trump and his wife have COVID. Perhaps if he had practiced social distancing and wore a mask this wouldn’t have happened.

Prayers that he and his wife and Hope Hicks will all recover. He is at high risk because of his age.

I think Trump downplaying COVID-19 was similar to Franklin D. Roosevelt downplaying the Great Depression. FDR knew how bad things were and how things were going to get a lot worse, however he didn't say that to the people. At his 1933 Presidential Inauguration he said simply,
We have nothing to fear except fear itself."

Democrats attack Trump for doing the same thing FDR did.

Maybe he will see how dangerous it is and put a stop to all the rioters running around without masks.
