Back to the topic....America is young compared to other world countries and has learned from her mistakes and continues to ensure the rights of all people within the boundaries of the laws and constitution.
What I think you mean to say is "America is young compared to other world countries THAT ARE OLDER like England, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, etc.".

Also, if America has learned from her mistakes, then why didn't we learn from the 1960's race riots about racial equality? Why is the US having to learn that lesson again?

And apparently before women could vote. I'd like to think this is just unintentional based on an ignorance of history, but these days who knows?
Yes, but those were the GLORY days for some of the people of the US. You know, White Christian males. The only ones that mattered.

By that metric, you're a slave to corporations, because the vast majority of your productivity is kept by your employee instead of being remunerated.

Not really. We have a voluntary choice who we do business with, but no matter where we go or what we do (other than stop earning an income completely) we are forced, under threat, to give (currently) a certain portion of our fruits to the state.

"Make America Great Again" is a racial slur.

"Make America Great Again.". Go back to the days of segregation. Slavery. Jim Crow Laws. Lynchings. Native American genocide.

Those things are dead and gone. Why keep bringing them up?

By that logic you also have a choice to move to some failed state where repressive governments won’t tax you.

Who, do you think, is "the state"?

The United States Federal Government. Did you know we have 6 states in our Union that do not collect income taxes?

By that logic you also have a choice to move to some failed state where repressive governments won’t tax you.

Is Texas or Florida a "failed state?" Not and remain in the US. Part of the American ideal is to fix your problems, rather than fleeing from them.

No, I did not know that.

Who gets to decide what happens with the money, and what is done with it?

I'd like to frame your question please. Do you mean in regards to federal income taxes?

If so, this link is quite telling: Federal Budget Pie Charts

You can’t Make America Great again if all citizen only pay $750 Fed tax each year. I hear that is the average Fed tax now a days.

If we could only be so lucky to have that many write-offs. I pay way over $750/mo in federal income taxes alone!

I guess taxation is theft was insufficiently histrionic so we moved on to taxation is slavery. Perhaps taxation is murder would get it done, let’s go with that.

You seemed totally fine for people to flee from their work places rather than adhering to American ideal of fixing them.

Sure! That's a different brush to paint with that falls under "freedom of association and movement" which we have in America. While I see your point, it's rather a non-sequitur. If I choose to disassociate from my employer, then there are no real consequences other than me finding another job or starting my own business. Now, what happens if I were to "disassociate" from my government? Keep in mind country != government.

According to your link, most of the money collected through this tax goes to the military (both veterans and the current military) and "human resources", which to appears to include a lot of things like education or health services.

Now, considering the fact that you linked to warresisters.org, can I take that as you trying to say that you'd like to abolish large parts of the military?

But it's only true for that part of the tax dollar which goes to aid poor people whose lifestyle choices you don't approve of.

Oh my god! Biden said he was in office 180 years? That's a long time, but not quite long enough for him to see the Revolutionary army take over the airports in 1775

I'd like to shrink A LOT of it, including the DoD budget but also have Medicare and SSI be opt-in/opt-out and gradually fade them out. That said, our preamble outlines that the purpose (original intent) of the federal government is to promote the General Welfare and provide for the national defense, so Constitutionally, having the budget for a sufficient military is one of the core purposes of the federal government, as well as arbitration between states. Now, I am aware the language changes in Article I Section 8, which also states "provide for the General Welfare" which of course will be debated ad nausem until we can have an amendment to specifically define, clearly, what that exactly means. So there's a contradiction in verbs within our Constitution. Anti-federalists such as myself will clearly side with the Preamble language whereas the federalists will side with Article I. So we're at an impasse.

The bottomline is that the welfare state, created by FDR's New Deal has shown to keep the poor in poverty while massively funding military operations, black budgets, and handing out tax dollars to large corporations under the guise of "providing for the General Welfare" but it's nothing more than legal bribery and quid pro quo.

We wouldn't care so much about who the President was if the office didn't wield such immense power. I just want us back to pre-New Deal days economically.
