I have a question about out of body experiences

If it feels too good to be true (but superficially so) - that's probably the devil.

If it feels peaceful, insightful, and benevolent - that's Him.

The whole point of going beyond the mind is to get closer to God. And getting there often isn't something you can plan. (Group prayer or individual meditation is when I feel a 'shift' - for want of a better term.)

About an out of the body experience, it happened to me once where after a injection of pethidine i found myself floating right underneath the ceiling looking down at myself. i had such a fright that i popped straight back in, with me thanking Jesus from the bottom of my heart, that i didn't get lost, of my face on opiates like that. To be out of our bodies is not how Jesus designed it to be and can therefore be very dangerous.

You should not play with fire brother, such is not wise. Yet in case you succeed. The difference between the devil and Jesus Christ, if He reveals Himself to you, is this. Jesus is the truth of your life, also your sinful one so you will mourn Him reverently and sincerely, while satan, on the other hand, will promote your big I to highest position, and set you out on a conquer all for self campaign. That is how you know the difference.

Do know that an out of the body experience is not entering the spiritual, rather in your spirit you visit the physical, that is why i said if Jesus decided to reveal Himself to you. Spiritually Jesus can take you to the third or heavens we know from Paul. Paul didn't know if he was in his body or not, but as far as i'm concerned an out of the body experience is simply staying where you already are but taking on spirit form. This is why it is dangerous because the spirit world around us is hostile and they are masters of deception.

If i was you i would not meddle with this but find Jesus and His spiritual Kingdom and enter that.

2 Corinthians 12:2 "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows."

Why should God do what you want for selfish reasons?

Paul served God with his whole being, intellectually, in his physical traveling and suffering, in his Ernest preaching, writing and praying.

As has been said you can get close to Jesus through like Paul your device, Bible study, being involved in evangelism and other areas of service.

God is not a suggest daddy giving treats to favourites. He rewards those he deems deserving of rewards.

Jesus never encouraged us to have out of body experiences. People who have visions of heaven etc, normally have know the LORD for many years, and can be trusted with the experience. Be content to have a normal prayer life. Don't seek after experiences in prayer.

I could teach you how you get an out of body experience, but then I would leave behind Christian teachings and rather pick up the occult practices of my youth. I'd like to say very firmly that you don't want to get lost in your mind by playing around with forces that can't be understood. But if you want to be a child toy of demons and devils, then go on and follow this path to the destruction it will bring on you.
