Sounds like you should sit down with your accountant and find ways to minimize your taxes. The fact that you apparently haven't is your fault, not President Trump's.100 X
I’m sure that’s fair.
Nope. I pay my fair share and pay an accountant handsomely to make sure I don’t pay a penny more. I’m happy to pay my fair share of taxes, in fact I consider it my civic duty. How about you? How much more in taxes did you pay than Donald Trump in 2016?Sounds like you should sit down with your accountant and find ways to minimize your taxes. It wasn't 100x, bro.How about you? How much more in taxes did you pay than Donald Trump in 2016?
I pay not one penny more than I am legally obligated to. If there is a legal way to pass less in taxes, you can bet I will take it. The only civic duty I have is to obey the law 100%... while keeping as much of my money as possible.Or are you civic minded enough to step up and pay your personal tax obligation?
President Trump was a media figure even then. His haircuts probably were a legit business expense. And if he has receipts that substantiate his costs (and I would imagine that he does) and if the law allows him to write them off (ditto) then I don't see the problem. If I knew I could’ve deducted $100,000 for hair styling I sure would have!
Because, everyone knows $100,000 is a perfectly reasonable amount to pay someone over a year to style your hair, especially because it is a required business expense allowed under the tax code to have styled hair if your a businessman like me.

It's almost like I avoided that element of your post, choosing not to provide a more specific answer. Weird, eh? Almost makes you think it was intentional, doesn't it?But it was more, right? How much more?
I don't care who pays for it as long as I pay as little as possible while obeying the law.is that your assertion?
That The burden to fund government should be squarely upon the shoulders of the millions in the working middle class and working poor, and the roughly 100 families who earn over 50% of the income in this country should get a free ride?
To refresh your memory, one of us is "happy" to pay taxes. The other sees it as a burden to be avoided as much as legally possible. Can’t see where I disagree with this, for I do the same. So I’m not sure what your objection is?
What scares you about it?It's almost like I avoided that element of your post, choosing not to provide a more specific answer. Weird, eh? Almost makes you think it was intentional, doesn't it?
you just want The closest thing to a free ride as you can get. Well you’re not alone... a lot of people seem to want that.I don't care who pays for it as long as I pay as little as possible while obeying the law.

Envy. What an uplifting trait.

I might be more open to the idea of taxation if I had control over which programs my tax monies went to and which ones they don't. But until that great and glorious day, no, I will seek to minimize my tax burden in every possible legal way. I have no regrets. What scares you about it?

Yes, one of us striving to get as close to a free ride as possible and the other has a more noble civic minded “We the people” approach.
I understand the difference perfectly.
You’ve done a fantastic job illuminating it for us.
