Attacks on Christianity are becoming more commonplace everyday. We all know what's coming but personally I didn't think I would see things unfolding in my lifetime. It's disheartening to see Christians being censored, churches being vandalized and our right to worship as we see fit being taken away. If our Christian nation has to fall let's do everything we can to make sure we are the last ones not the first. Now more than ever we need to stick together and let the world see who we are. Myself I am trying my best to bring God into every conversation in public. I'm praising the Lord and asking everyday what I can do to serve.

The link title seems bit misleading.

They were arrested for mouthing of the police

“the cop came to talk to me and he said, ‘Give me your license I’m probably going to write you a ticket.'”

Rench told the officer that he didn’t need to do this and the two went back and forth for several minutes, which led to his eventual arrest.”

Not for singing hymns.

The fact remains that that was almost a technicality. The police will let Antifa and BLM throw Molotov cocktails at them without attempting an arrest, so we can see that this incident in Idaho is nothing that "had to be."

You are free to make a thread about those. I just despise copy pasting blown up headlines as a proof that the world is ending and padding up Christian persecution complex.

There are places where Christians are persecuted. There are places where Muslims are persecuted and there are way more places where atheists, gays and other minorities are persecuted.

US is not a place where Christian are systematically persecuted. What is happening is the steady erosion of historical Christian privileges that some people take as “persecution”

Get over it. If the message is sound nobody needs special treatment right ?

That's incorrect.

Perhaps in Sweden and some other countries that line of though might hold. However, it is not compatible with the American system of law.

That's incorrect.

Sure it is. So how are the Christians legally persecuted ? What unjust laws apply to Christians that do not apply to others ?

American system does not believe in equality before the law ?

It would take a lot of space to answer that question with all the relevant aspects of the issue, including the references and so on that I would like to present and which you would of course demand. I would advise you, if your interest is in knowing all of that, to look into it for yourself.

.
More reason for you to take the suggestion I made above.

So your evidence is big fat nothing. Figures.

That's exactly why I knew better than to spend a half hour covering everything that it would take to explain to you all that is involved with the issue of religious freedom and how it has been under pressure in recent years, before President Trump took action.

Had I done all of that, I know that the reply to it would have been exactly what I just read...so think of all the time and effort I saved!

By that useless logic you would have saved even more time by not bringing up your baseless allegations in first place.

What you’re missing is the BLM protest outside of the police station that happened in July. They were not “social distancing” and there were no arrests or citations.

Was just discussing the link and the headline given to it in OP.

I am sure there are demonstrations that have followed different courses of action.

We have exactly one person's word on that. I know Moscow and lived there for three years. I checked all the news sources I know of and could find no reference to this supposed rally happening at all. And other protests have been recorded in one of the local papers.

200 people protested, 5 were ticketed and three were arrested. They were arrested for resisting or obstructing police officers. The arrests and tickets had zero to do with their religion. Do you actually believe that the police in Idaho are targeting Christians? Most of those cops probably are Christians themselves.

Christians are not being persecuted in the United States. You can speak freely about God at any time. I've met missionaries who have been beaten for their faith. The scars still mar their skin. I've heard of people dying in the name of Jesus Christ. Nothing close to that happens here. If it does, then I shall die a martyr. However, we are not anywhere near that right now.

I do know a gay atheist whose community tied him to a tree and almost beat him to death. I know the people who did it. Even during the trial, they claimed they did it for God. No, we aren't being persecuted, but there are many being persecuted in Christ's name. That is what we should be fighting to change.

It would depend on how broad or narrow you define it.

"steady erosion of historical Christian privileges" Like holding church servieces?
'In Las Vegas, Casinos Are Open, But Churches Are Closed' | My Christian Daily

In Washington state the governor isn't banning mass demonstrations, but funerals.
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-st...barred-in-washington-state-due-to-coronavirus

The same for weddings in many states
Georgia bans weddings, other ceremonies as virus cases rise

Most Christians are law abiding and will obey the laws. The hooligans are not. They will continue their mass protests, looting, and burning with little regards to medical masks and social distaniting.

And you believe they will not give you back those rights to gather together once the current crisis passes ?

That it is end times now with Satan banning church gatherings, weddings and funerals ?

Relax, they will get those vaccines and the epidemic will burn out one way or another.

Sure, some places with money like Casinos can probably buy some policy makers to keep their businesses up but there is no reason to believe the meeting restrictions will be uphold permanently or something.
