"Queen of Heaven was a title given to a number of ancient sky goddesses worshiped throughout the ancient Mediterranean and Near East during ancient times. The chief goddess of the pagan pantheon, known by various names in the various nations, notably Ishtar in Babylon, but also Inanna, Astarte, Ashtoreth, Aphrodite, Venus and others. "

And there's more on this one as you look at it from this angle:

The Mystery of Adam and Eve

"Concealed behind every major religion and tradition hides a secret, vigorously guarded throughout history, becoming completely forbidden to reveal this mystery to the public. Since ancient times, the symbolical worship of the serpent has been seen in cultures world wide, and it was often given a similar meaning, generally accepted as a symbol of divine wisdom and spiritual purity."

You will get better sense on these topics by troubling to read history, comparative religion, and comparative literature books which level headed and hard working scholars have put countless centuries of work into.
That would require one to know which books are actually worth the time to read and which are just propaganda (which is far more difficult than it should be). That's no easy task, and most people are too lazy to read after they escape modern schooling anyway.

I find Robert offers good bite-sized pieces of facts, that should hopefully get at least some folks interested in digging into these topics more. They're the sort of thing you can take and ponder about for awhile.
