Our sins may be "paid" with His blood. But it doesn't mean we don't mess up. For many on daily basis. We will never be perfect. That said all you can do is pray for strength and to break free of a sin. Again, for some they struggle their whole life. For others they can break those chains (with Gods help).

Only key thing here is to not abuse Gods grace by for example saying "Well, I can do this sin one more time and just pray for forgiveness later!" Purposely sinning vs accidentally doing it is different when it comes to forgiveness.

For example I am 99% free from a inappropriate content addiction. In the past I would tell myself I could look at inappropriate content and pray after. Which means my prayers would not be accepted because I used forgiveness as an excuse to look at inappropriate content. Where as now in the rare cases I look, I don't do so on purpose. I stumble into it and feel bad after and pray about it. Often struggling while even before looking with "Stop looking <my name>, its not worth it!"

@ovis90 can you share how your life with God is? That would help us to see better, and give you Godly advice. How much time do you spend reading the Bible each week? What about prayer and how often do you pray?

In the mean time, here is a verse I hope will help:

James 4:7-10
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

The book of James has really great wisdom for us to learn from.

Feelings are unreliable. Often God removes the "feeling" of His presence. It's so we can know if we are trusting Him or trusting our feelings. We need to know that God has given us victory over sin. If you have confessed your sin, God has forgiven you and also has forgotten your sin. If you have confessed, no matter how many times you've failed, God has forgiven you. You also need to know the power of the resurrection life of Christ working in you to deliver you from sin. God will open your eyes if you ask Him.

Sanctification is a life long process, as long as we are in these bodies that process will continue. Our flesh holds us back, drags us down but we are set aside and sealed and then made more like Jesus over time. Being born again isn't a feeling, its a contractual fact, it's both a doctrinal truth and positional truth. The evidence of a saved heart is the change ( we are translated from darkness to light Colossians 1:13 and literal ownership is changed in 2 Corinthians 1:22). You live on becoming more Christ like, slowly old desires become less important and new ones take their place. Single besetting sins are not an indication you are not born again. Look at your overall walk and pray on that sin.

Offer up your sufferings to Jesus.

We will lose many battles to the devil. Especially as he knows that we love God 100%. Be determined that the devil will never win the war!

Every time you fall, get right back up and return to the open arms of God.

Anyone who says they are sin free is living on a cloud. We cant be 100% pure in this life.

Trust in Jesus.

God bless you

There is no struggle before you decide to let Jesus forgive you. Before that, you just do what you want with no struggles. It's only after forgiveness that we struggle to respond to God's Grace by working to reduce our dependence on it. The only solution to struggle is to deceive ourselves that we no longer need forgiveness and are now perfect. You'll find many people like that in this forum.

After "perfecting" themselves they then turn to point at others imagined failings to distract their minds. It's very natural, I've done it.

i did repented many times for it, but sin than i felt i dont get close to God how i used to. Dont feel calling to return or seek him.
It's time to return to the Word and put the feelings aside. 1Jn 1.9 says that if you confess God will both forgive and cleanse. 1Jn 3 says that when our heart condemns us God is greater than our heart and knows all things. Romans 8 tells us there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. And chapter 10 tells us that all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The whole message of Christianity is that Jesus did for us what we could not do ourselves. Once we're Saved we still mess up. You can't expect a toddler to bake a cake or mow the lawn. We're learning and we're growing in godliness, in a maturing process of progressive sanctification. Were it not so no one could stand, because as 1Jn 1 says, no one is without sin.

[For I am] confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. - Phl 1:6

It's an hour long sermon. Listen from beginning to end. Listen when you have the time, and take the time to consider all that is said.

Todays bible quote is for you! Be blessed and above all stay the course.
Romans
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Stay away from tempting situations. That's the best thing you could do for yourself. Then come, sit still and focus on God.

People don’t perfect themselves-Jesus does it by His divine power!
Nevertheless, us Christians are extremely judgemental.
Luke 18
9 Also He [Jesus] spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’
13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will behumbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” :)
