Hello @HopeInJesusOnly, the Bible is clear that the Earth is neither Heaven nor Hell, but as @Sabertooth just pointed out, we will experience a bit of both in this life (which I actually believe is a very good thing).

God bless you!

--David
p.s. - Satan does seem pretty emboldened here of late :( Still, we know that the Lord has this, yes :)

Anyone else think this life/planet might be hell, or even worse, a bottomless pit?(Covid might be a good example of having made a wrong life choice somewhere and entering this new "level" of bottom.)

Just a (not entirely original) thought.
Everyone is born spiritually dead and separated from God. To me, that is hell. If a person dies an unbeliever, he faces God as Judge. God will judge that person on the basis of what they have done in their earthly life. Then they are subjected to the second death. That, to me, means that they have no further opportunity to repent and accept Christ. So yes, this current experience is, for most people, hell.

Randy Alcorn. I knew I'd heard it somewhere, before.

The current situation is a variation on Hell, and unbelievers are often enraged that this is not Heaven, because it's all they got.

You have the response I've been waiting for, quite frankly.

There are some very happy people in the world right now (I know - I've spoken with them), and I can't even comprehend how this is possible without a timeline split.

But it's all we've got, too, at the moment. :(

The purpose is to grow ones faith and hope.
This would not happen under better conditions. :amen:

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please him,
for whoever would draw near to God must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

"without faith it is impossible to please him"

See what I'm getting at? If this were heaven we could not please him.

The physical things here aren't hell.

But there is Satan's evil spirit here on earth > I mean "the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience." (in Ephesians 2:2) And Satan and his rebellious spirit will be in hell. So, by living in Satan's disobedient spirit now, people are already experiencing this spirit that will be in hell.

This spirit of Satan is the spirit of fear and its torment. Therefore in hell there will be fear and torment.

And right now people are getting started, then, in how they will be and continue for eternity. God's word says we will reap what we have been sowing > Galatians 6:7-8. What we sow now is what we will reap so much more, later, after we die. So, if we are sowing seeds of worry and fear and hate and lust . . . in hell a person will not longer have one's physical body for feeling some pleasure > there will only what the person has been sowing and becoming, deep down inside oneself.

So, yes ones are now already getting started in how they could be and stay in hell. But one may turn to Jesus, instead, and invest in becoming how Jesus is, for eternity > this includes by putting away evil things of Satan's spirit, and discovering as God's family how to become and how to relate in His love >

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

You may present this in the "Requests for Christian Advice" forum >

Requests for Christian Advice | Christian Forums

And in this advice place you may tell us about what you have been going through. I think we have people who can feel for you and help you, out of their own experience with Jesus, and we can pray with you. You might consider going to the Christian advice place before you read any further, here.

But for anybody who is ready for controversial things >

Here we are in the controversy place :) Here . . . in relation to our topic of this thread > yes, there is evil in this world. Look at how people abused Jesus. But did Jesus give in to it? Did Jesus allow evil to make Him suffer like Satan's evil spirit can torment a person? No. Jesus did not let Satanic people have power over Him to decide how He is and what He did.

In fact, Christ used such evil for God's good. So much good has come from all Jesus went through on Calvary, for us. And God's word commands us to follow the example of our Savior on the cross >

"And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma." (Ephesians 5:2)

So, here is what we can do >

"Test all things; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

I have learned that this scripture can mean to test bad things, in order to see how God will use them for His good end. Instead of just feeling like we are being tested and under such a weight and so failing > with God in prayer > test those things which Satan brings to test and torment us :) And of course, do this with one another Christians who are our family :help:  :groupray: :prayer:

And I dare to consider that any of us could be the ones who are abusive. Look at how those Jewish mommies and daddies became able to curse their own children with the shed blood of Jesus > Matthew 27:25. Those were socially accepted, religious people who became able to do that. But they were human, but without Jesus; and so they could do what was so evil. Any of us, in an instant, could go all the way like that . . . except . . . thanks to God and His grace.

So, most of all, we need to seek God for how He is able to make us stable with Him in His love's character, so we are not available to how Satan would mess us.

"And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?" (1 Peter 3:13)

This is what can be expected of God. This is not idealism, then. This is basic Bible. God's grace is almighty to do all He means by what He commands us to do >

"for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

Something is amiss in this world. Everything is on fire, businesses are empty and people are isolating (or dead due to a virus).

I wish I hadn't been here to witness any of it. I also wish I hadn't read Revelations. It's all too much.

It is the womb we walk in ... and a bottomless pit more intune with what the Bible describes as the mouth of a harlot ...

Not a chance - this is utopia in comparison to the lake of fire.

If anything this world now is experiencing the birth pains or the water has not even broken yet.

Yes. This was a recent development for me but i think reality is a boy (the boy is Jesus Christ) locked in a dark basement. I do believe in "Once Saved, Always Saved" but to put it over simply "Only the good die young". There are 7 Churches in Revelation and 7 lampstands. The two churches that got good accolades were the poor church Smyrna and also Philadelphia. There are two witnesses or two lampstands or two churches that are killed and resurrected for the whole world to see (i might be butchering this so read it for yourself). Isaiah chapter 53 (KJV) says Jesus Christ was physically ugly and was a man of suffering.

I'm sure you are familiar with the verse "the first will be last and the last will be first"

Solomon was fallible due to the first chapter of the book of Ecclessiastes, but he did say that God or Jesus Christ dwells in darkness. Don't work too hard.
