Very telling answer he gave. The president isn’t concerned about anyone but himself. He knows he’s far enough he won’t likely catch it but he basically says screw his thousands of supporters that come out to see him and their families back home if they happen to catch the virus in the packed crowd at his events. Even after seeing the terrible results of his months of carelessness, he continues with the same practices that got us to this point. He simply does not care about anyone.

Not to worry. Everyone at the rally took a handful of hydroxychloroquine pills. Washed down with a big glass of Chlorox.

The Trump supporters have minds I'd their own, but I suppose some will buy the nonsense all that supporters do is all Trumps fault.

The lopsided concern America displays over public gatherings is truly astonishing. Do you think this lopsided concern teaches conservatives to wear masks? No, it teaches them that Covid is a political weapon, further entrenching them to not wear masks or socially distance. This lopsided concern isn't helping America, it is undermining the credibility of Covid concerns. If anyone actually cares about Covid rather than it's use as a political weapon, they should demand better of their media.

We have a virus that has been demonstrated to easily spread indoors when groups of people are assembled in close proximity for extended periods of time. So yes, when the leader of a country disregards this fact, and in doing so, suggest that the danger of the virus is past, I am concerned. A leader has a responsibility to inform and lead by example.

This doesn’t make any sense. The lack of large gatherings hurts Biden more than Trump in the campaign. Large events, screaming fans, a chance look presidential is something Biden could really use right now. It’s not a big deal for Trump since he is the president and can stroll around the White House and dojo’s job to look presidential. The only damage this is doing to Trump is self-inflicted. He should have said no large events for public safety which would protect his incumbent advantage and also ding Biden every time he does one. Biden needs these a lot more than Trump does and Trump blew his chance to weaponize them against Biden.

I disagree. Trump needs the rallies, and more importantly, media coverage of those rallies (that was his formula in 2016 -- exploit media coverage). However, it's a bit tough to cover when one holds the rally in unsafe conditions.

...yesterday, Trump made a pit stop in Phoenix, hosting yet another smaller rally ("Latinos for Trump") in a hotel ball room....complete with the maskless faithful. This is simply irresponsible.

Trump returns to Arizona to court Latino voters

If he needs big rallies for media coverage than he sucks as president. Hold a press conference from the Rose Garden, sign a bill, dedicate a new national monument, welcome heads of foreign states. He should have been having weekly furs use chats during the pandemic. Lots of ways for Trump to draw media coverage that Biden currently lacks.
