why not a sin?
Because its rather an unhealthy lifestyle, like drinking sodas or eating in a fast food.

The problem with smoking is that a smoker damages also the health of people around him, though.

"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea."

28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. 19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt...

You sure about that?

Moses' brother and sister, Aaron and Miriam, did not complain about Moses' new wife because she was black. She and Aaron complained because they were not involved in the decision. The three siblings, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam led the Hebrew people with Moses being the chief leader.

Miriam said, "Is Moses the only one the Lord speaks to? Hasn't he spoken through us?" The Bible says that the Lord "heard it" and came down and told Miriam basically that when he is ready for someone to prophecy, he will let them know.

This was not about racism.

The Bible teaches that humanity is of one race - the human race. God said, "Let us make man [all peoples] in our own image." That's why the word "racism" is not in the Bible.

However, there are places that teach against divisions of any kind.
  • Galatians 3:28 = "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
  • John 7:24 = "Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly."
  • Acts 10:34-35 = "Peter began to speak: I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.'"
  • James 2:8-9 = "If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers."

A child cannot commit pedophilia. Only an adult can do that. Jesus did not specify what sin the child could be caused to commit. Perhaps stealing? I have seen adults cause their children to shoplift. I haven't found any place in the Bible where Jesus mentions pedophilia or racism being a sin. Those things being so egregious, I figure Jesus assumed we all knew they were wrong so he did not need to make a point of mentioning them. Anyway, they would be included in the two great commandments. You cannot love God and love your neighbor by sexually preying on children or hating a neighbor because of his/her genetic background.

Do you think Paul made a sin there?

One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply...

So, when I say "Blacks are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons", then I am not a racist, because its just a behavior and it can be changed?

What race are Cretans? They are inhabitants of Crete; this has nothing to do with racism.
