From what I've seen in the videos, I don't fault the individual officers who seemed to handle it about as gently as they could. What kind of school presses charges and what kind of DA prosecutes it for 9 months?

I'd be interested in exploring the degree of the private, for-profit prison system in Florida. Smaller inmates take up less space and consume less food, but probably generate the same revenue from the state...

The entire thing is to test the awareness of Americans repeating history younger than a century.

When Americans watched and apologized for it happening to undesirable/minority Americans, it opened the door for this to happen to all Americans.

It is going to increase, and happen to people who "matter" now - because we allowed it with our ignorance of history and failure to truly love and care. You will see a few every other quarter, then every month, then people will just know the police force as a force that executes judgment first.

We can't help but to beg for our demise because of our greenness as a nation, and our lack of existing as a "nation of people, together". There are several older empires that are taking advantage of this; we do everything we can (by acting predictably) to help them exploit us.

The Key West police are not the US police. There is no US police force that was present in Key West trying to deal with a violent 8 year old. Would you blame EU police if the Paris police botched something?
