You are not seriously naive enough to believe that ?

Since I put in a question mark it totally indicates that I do not necessarily believe this is so but rather I am looking for a reply and input.

if I though bad of you, if I thought you were just being rude, I would think you thought that way instead of asking a question.

Even if it is a hard question.

Yes the Question mark in your post makes the difference between an inquiry and an insulting flame.

I choose to think the better of you. The difference is the way we chose to react to the question.

So in answer to your question, no, I am not naive in my views, that is why I read as much as I do.

Hope that answers your question.

BTW, it wasn't Trump calling for a delay in the election, but the Democratic Governors of states who are calling for mail-in-voting, to delay the election results so they'll have time to sort through all the mailed in ballots.

Trump in his statement, questioned this.
can you name these governors?

What is more likely to be delayed is the result. State election officials in some key battleground states have warned that it might take days to count the votes given what they expect will be a surge of ballots sent by mail. In an election as close as 2016′s, a delayed tally in key states could keep news organizations from calling a winner.

“It may be several days before we know the outcome of the election,” said Jocelyn Benson, Michigan’s Democratic secretary of state, said in May. “We have to prepare for that now and accept that reality.”

Delayed election results? Maybe, but not because of mail-in voting fraud

And of course the Chicago Tribune makes the statement Trump made false.

He didn't say the delay would because of fraud, but that mail-in-voting makes fraud more likely

Trump question about the delay in election was responding to the states who say mail-in-voting will delay the results.

Regular cloth mask protect the people

N95 mask are available for hospital workers and front line workers.

People going to the grocery store don't need an N95 mask

People who have to work in the grocery stores need N95 masks to protect them from the hundreds of people they'll be face-to-face with every day.

Teachers need N95 masks.

Workers in meat packing plants need N95 masks.

People who will have to sit in offices rebreathing the air of others for hours a day need N95 masks.

In order to work in the midst of contagion where so many people refuse to wear masks, those who must deal daily with those people need masks that will effectively protect themselves.

Woman spits on 7-11 counter rather than wear a mask.

In the English language, the question mark means the previous words are asking a question.

is he not allowed to ask questions?

There is a difference between asking a question and making a proposal. The question indicates he is looking for replies and input.

Is your grasp of rhetoric that simplistic?

Note the question mark.

I wonder how long it took to count the ballots after the 1864 election. Probably weeks, at least.

All you have to do is look at how the primary votes were counted in states with mail in voting took

The election officials say mail-in-voting will take longer because of the volume of ballots that will need to be counted.

Of course those states where either Biden or Trump is losing, will attempt to delay the count as long as possible and they'll try and count ballots that arrived after the deadline, you can count on it.

He tweeted :

“With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???”

Trump question about the delay in election was responding to the states who say mail-in-voting will delay the results.

He wasn’t worried about delay .....He tweeted he is worried about INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election.

Meaning he is worried about losing.

Also since Trump has already embarrassed US more times than he goes to court that reason is obviously false as well.

But two separate items.

Yes, mail in voting opens the door for fraudulent elections, especially as the US Postal Workers Union, who endorses presidential candidates will be responsible for making sure ballots are delivered on time.

That and the right to privacy when voting will be lost in many homes and situations.

Then of course is overwhelming the volunteers who currently work the polls. They haven't volunteered to work for weeks on end opening ballots and checking the register.

Heck even in Florida during the 2000 election, the volunteers at the polls were getting weary about being stuck longer than they had planned for.

The delay in the election is a separate issue, which the states who have mail-in-voting are saying will result with the large number ballots they'll have to get through.

Here in MA, the extra cost for mail-in-voting is another issue. The printing and mailing of applications for mail-in-voting is already a concern. Then there is the cost for printing and mailing of those ballots.

You can bet not all voters will get their ballots on time, especially where the state favors one candidate over another

And everyone can’t vote physically either especially with current situation.

So let’s hold the elections until everything is perfect.

Like never ?

Reality check here. There will never be elections with everything going right. You do the best you can on the date you are given.

That’s where your efforts should be instead of desperately trying to subvert the elections.

Okay already. No one is opposed to holding free and fair elections on the day appointed--just as we've always intended. :sigh: And by the way, we never before tinkered with the vote simply because the voters could catch the flu if they were careless at the polls. Nor when the country was torn in half by Civil War or when hundreds of thousands of servicemen were overseas fighting a world war. But now the push is on to not only have universal absentee voting but also to have other people cast your vote for you!

Yeah, no one...

.....

Just saying it will be INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT, it will be great embarrassment to the USA and asking for delay ?

But he is not opposed to it or anything...

The job of Trump apologists just gets harder as the election date nears.

Certainly nobody is publicly opposed to it now after Trump saw how just about everyone with tiniest bit of backbone or political sense opposed it.

Absentee ballots are for those who can't vote

There will never be elections without error, but what we have now has far less errors than what mail-in-voting will have. Just the fact that the Postal Workers Union will play a direct role should be of most concern. Imagine if it was the ACLU who was responsible ?

How am I trying to subvert the elections?

I want them to remain as they are.

Most of those who are currently opposed to mail-in voting, will actually be making use of the mails themselves to send their ballots back to their home states in the 2020 Election!

If this President actually harbored grave misgivings concerning mail-in ballots, where has he been for the last 4 years?
