A Florida couple has been charged after being caught getting groceries, washing their car, and walking their dog despite testing positive for the coronavirus
  • A Florida couple who was caught breaking quarantine rules despite testing positive for the coronavirus was jailed on Wednesday, according to state officials.

  • Officials allege that Jose Antonio Freire Interian and Yohana Anahi Gonzalez repeatedly ignored orders to self-isolate after neighbors filmed them walking the dog, going for groceries, and washing their car.

  • The couple was released from jail early on Thursday after posting a $1,000 bond.

These people are monsters and deserved the electric chair. Remember this when you go to the store. Any one could have COVID-19. And some people don't care if they pass it to you.

May as well electrocute all normal humans, instead of letting them starve to death. Since when has being sick been such a burden? Oh wait, 100 years ago. Yet the claim is, "if this is bad, why is it not as bad as 100 years ago." What about the stigma of abortion? The stigma of aids? Even the stigma of slavery right now pales in comparison to the hyper sensitive world at the moment. The US has sown major sins, now the least of ailments, is causing us to reap the whirlwind. We want to Now kill people for killing other people?

I only go to the store when they first open. Theoretically the store was disinfected overnight. There's a lot less people when the store first opens. I only use self checkout when possible. I wear my mask, and I also wear gloves (mostly for payment - touching money, cards, the card reader, screen, etc). I don't take anything into the store that I don't want contaminated by touch, such as my phone. Everything I buy is wiped down with Lysol wipes. I wash use hand sanitizer afterwards until I get home where I wash my hands vigorously. After that I strip down and throw the clothes in the wash. I then wash my hands again and wipe the washing machine down with Lysol wipes. Then I get in the shower. I also keep my sunglasses on in the store because they seal the mask on my nose better and offers some protection from getting infected through my eyes.

I'm as safe as I can possibly be, and people like this confirm to me that I have not been doing too much in vain.

I always take a hot shower when returning from the store, plus using hand sanitizer.

So living with Coronavirus is now illegal? Don’t leave the house? Don’t walk your pet? Perhaps they could have had groceries delivered and spared folks being around them. I know this is serious. But penalizing people for buying food sounds harsh.

You don't get to kill people just because you don't want to use other methods to get food.

Is the solution to lock people in their homes, and not allow them to leave, walk their pets, buy food, or get their car fixed?

It is not like enforcing quarantines is something new. It is hundreds of years old. In this case the people were repeatedly warned and chose to ignore the warnings. No sympathy from me or any other reasonable person.

Pretty much, yes. You are to stay in quarantine while infected. People would have a lot more resources available to them, like our neighbors to the north and across the Atlantic, if it wasn't for this insane administration.

No , when you have COVID-19. You shouldn't be walking your dogs. And you have no reason to wash your car. Or fix your car. They could have had food delivered to the porch. Or even ask for help. I cant understand how hard this is this to understand. Don't go in public ,if you know you have COVID-19. But yes, they could have passed it around. And got someone killed.

Probably, since they can't be trusted to self-quarantine

walk their pets,
They can walk their pets on their property or get weewee pads.

Everyone's allowed to buy food but you have to do it legally. For example, you were never able to buy food legally by buying it from some guy on the street with a dead pig on a cinderblock that he just chops up and hands you the meat. There are safety and health regulations in place. Are you against safety and health regulations for the buying and selling of food? Or do you buy your food from unsanitary, disgusting places because "freedom"??

or get their car fixed?
What does someone under quarantine need their car fixed for? They can't drive it anywhere anyway if they're under quarantine. When they're out of quarantine they can get it fixed anywhere they want.

It's amazing to me that so many people are bothered that people with a deadly virus that spreads easily aren't given 100% freedom to do anything they want at all with no regard to the law or the safety and health of others. People with that mentality would follow that same logic to also encourage drunk driving, indoor smoking, urination and defecation anywhere someone wants to go, throwing acid on people, etc.

There's another point to be made here, as well. The people who are generally against mask mandates and who want people with coronavirus to have 100% freedom, tend to be the same people who say, "if you don't to get shot, don't break the law." Well, if you don't want to be arrested or even shot, obey the law and wear a mask, and when infected, quarantine.

Wow thank God Jesus healed the lepers, or we might all be doomed to walk around with leprosy.

We really care about you so we will put these positive covid people in jail. Poor inmates.

They also have 3 roommates , that could walk the dogs around the yard . That's why they were instructed to wear mask at the home. I hope the roommates were more careful. Than the Jose Antonio Freire Interian and Yohana Anahi Gonzalez were. Actually, the 3 roommate should be quarantine. But out of 5 people in the home. I'm sure someone could help them with going to get food.

Actually since they kept breaking Quarantine. While the were infected. They should been forced in to a locked quarantine. Until their COVID-19 went away. So yes.

I agree, they deserve the electric chair. One month at least.

One whole month sitting in the electric chair seems a bit harsh... ^_^ (I know that is not what you meant but how it reads to me)

So living with Coronavirus is now illegal? Don’t leave the house? Don’t walk your pet? Perhaps they could have had groceries delivered and spared folks being around them. I know this is serious. But penalizing people for buying food sounds harsh.

If you are in quarantine with covid you are in quarantine, even if you do not feel that sick. Someone should deliver your groceries to the door. Your dogs perhaps walked by someone else or taken to a relative or just not walked at all. You don't spread your germs to others. Since you won't be driving anywhere your car does not matter either.

When God sent the ill and contagious out of the camp he didn't say "You can come back in for meals"
Leviticus 13:46
He shall remain unclean all the days during which he has the infection; he is unclean. He shall live alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.
The persons chance of infecting others was a greater need for the community than his own need for company or to do what he wanted. It is not meant to be a punishment but a practical solution to a serious issue.

No. But, I doubt they were around people in jail. Since they have COVID-19.
From the articles I read mayors intentionally infected nursing homes and prisons. AARP has an investigation. The DOJ got caught burning files showing they intentionally infected federal prisons.
