It is the will of God that all shall be saved.

“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” I Tim. 2:4.

God is love: it must be His will that mankind should be saved.

An infinitely good Being could have no other will. He is infinite in knowledge He could not so will unless He knew all would be saved.

He could not will what He knew never would transpire.

No power can defeat His will.

“Your will be done.” Matt. 6:10.

“He does according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What are You doing?” Dan. 4:35.

“He works all things after the counsel of His own will.” Eph. 1:11.

The will of God, then, will be done. No power can defeat it.

God will save all men!

This is a text book example of the devious UR practice of quoting various references out-of-context trying to support a false doctrine. A.T. Robertson was a staunch Baptist scholar who taught graduate level Greek for more than 40 years and he most certainly did not believe in universal reconciliation [UR].
Here is Robertson's commentary on Matt 25:46.

Eternal punishment (kolasin aiōnion). The word kolasin comes from kolazō, to mutilate or prune. Hence those who cling to the larger hope use this phrase to mean age-long pruning that ultimately leads to salvation of the goats, as disciplinary rather than penal. There is such a distinction as Aristotle pointed out between mōria (vengeance) and kolasis. But the same adjective aiōnios is used with kolasin and zōēn. If by etymology we limit the scope of kolasin, we may likewise have only age-long zōēn. There is not the slightest indication in the words of Jesus here that the punishment is not coeval with the life. We can leave all this to the King himself who is the Judge. The difficulty to one’s mind about conditional chastisement is to think how a life of sin in hell can be changed into a life of love and obedience. The word aiōnios (from aiōn, age, aevum, aei) means either without beginning or without end or both. It comes as near to the idea of eternal as the Greek can put it in one word. It is a difficult idea to put into language. Sometimes we have “ages of ages” (aiōnes tōn aiōnōn).
I have posted this before but this poster persists in presenting this patently false narrative. This is the face of UR!

Abiding in the Master of Reconciliiation is a present tense operation of Spirit. The purpose of that union with Him is more of Him (and less of you/us). Each individual as a wee will can dig in their wee feet and say no. In the end however, the Master accomplishes His will in every digit, of every life, to whom the Father gives Him.

"These are they who follow the Lamb withersoever He goes."

Verse 6 doesn’t sound like they’re being forced to abide. Are you familiar with the term “cast away” (ballō G906)

1. to throw or let go of a thing without caring where it falls
a. to scatter, to throw, cast into
b. to give over to one's care uncertain about the result
c. of fluids
1. to pour, pour into of rivers
2. to pour out
2. to put into, insert

A primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense): - arise, cast (out), X dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust. Compare

God does not need man. He will accept those who turn to Him but those who reject Him, He will cast away. I’m curious where you got this idea from when you said “The purpose of that union with Him is more of Him (and less of you/us).” It’s a synergetic relationship that requires the acceptance of both parties. Sure God is loving, patient, and long suffering but He is also jealous, vengeful, and just. He will give everyone every opportunity to repent but if they choose not to then He will abandon them to their fate.

“And He began telling this parable: "A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any. And he said to the vineyard-keeper, 'Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?' And he answered and said to him, 'Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer; and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.'"”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:6-9‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Notice in this example the vineyard owner (God The Father) doesn’t have an infinite amount of patience towards the fig tree (man). There is a cut off point to where God will eventually abandon a person to their fate. God urges people to repent He does not force it. God does not use the lake of fire to force repentance.

And we’ve already gone over the definition of the word thelō. It also means to want or desire. God doesn’t always get what He wants, we’ve seen this constantly throughout the scriptures. God didn’t want satan to deceive Eve. God didn’t want Adam & Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. God didn’t want to cast them out of the garden of Eden. God didn’t want to man to become evil. God didn’t want to destroy mankind in the flood. God didn’t want the Israelites to worship idols. The list goes on and on from the beginning of creation all the way to judgement day God is constantly disappointed by mankind. GOD DOES NOT ALWAYS GET WHAT HE WANTS BECAUSE HE HAS DEEMED THAT MAN MUST HAVE FREE WILL. Without free will our love and repentance means nothing. Without free will it has absolutely NO VALUE.

God does not use the lake of fire to force repentance.

You're still working on a punitive model. The Biblical lake of fire is not a bbq pit, it's an image of God's presence, His burning love, the divine fire of superabundant grace. Nobody has their feet held to the fire, it's not some kind of medieval dungeon. That's what man does when he believes in eternal torment, he torments his fellow man.

No, the lake of fire is for the purification of the wicked who for whatever reason are unwilling to let go of their sin attachments, their bad habits. The experience of God's righteousness and the newness of life that being born again gives. 'Behold', says God, 'I am making all things new'. The lake of fire is about restoration, setting right.

When you see someone doing evil, do you curse them to hell or wish upon them salvation? For God's vengeance is salvation, and it'll burn the arrogant pride right out of a man.

Wow, so are you saying that God's ultimate destiny is dismay? What a bleak and hopeless view that represents. God gets His way, make no mistake. He knows the end from the beginning, and the end is the omega, which is Jesus, Yahushua, SALVATION. Not just a little, but the total victory of Christ. That's the scriptures and the power of God. It's the gospel sir. I commend it to you.

This seems like pure speculation. I don’t know of any scriptures that support these statements. I’m sure you can find some that may appear to but nothing conclusive and to interpret these in such a way would contradict other scriptures which clearly indicate that not all will repent and enter heaven.

And these "fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, harlot mongers, sorcerers, idolaters, liars etc." [Revelation 21:8] will be filled with warm fuzzies and love for God after they have spent some period of time in the lake of fire.

Only the entire Bible. Perhaps it's stated most clearly first when God fully reveals His plan of salvation in Isaiah 45.

Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. (22-23, reiterated in Rom 14:11 and Phil 2:10)

That's God swearing an oath in His own own name. A divine declaration doesn't come any higher that that. That's a covenant promise, God giving His word. He's enlarging and expanding on the Abrahamic Covenant. It is the Covenant of Universal Salvation.

This is borne out in Rev 15:4, the Song of Moses and Jesus:

"Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED."

Right, got it, locked in? And finally consummated in Rev 21:24-26, where the kings of the earth and the nations (traditional enemies of the faith), come in worship through the ever-open Pearly Gates:

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;

And Rev 22:2c, which puts the cherry on the cake:

and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

There's so many more scriptures that support this, so idk why so many are resistant to it. GOD GAVE HIS WORD, and that was sealed in holy blood at Calvary. What do you think Jesus' sacrifice was all about.

There are no ends of the earth in the grave/hell.
The word "allegiance" is disingenuously added to Isa 45.
There are no nations in the grave/hell.
There are no kings in the grave or hell. Only dead bodies.
There is no glory or honor in the grave/hell and no kings to bring them into the new Jerusalem.
There are no nations in the grave/hell to be healed.
Everything in the misquoted verses applies only to the living in this world.

Dear Gup:

The fact is radical corruption has resulted from the original sin that is ours as a result of one mans disobedience. Every person, (including innocent babies), are born with a disposition to sin. That disposition to sin is enslavement, and requires Divine intervention completely outside of ourselves!

That intervention is known as prevenient grace making it utterly unable to choose steps to follow the Lord God, or follow in His awesome footsteps.

God specifically commands us to choose, and says this choice is not made by Him in heaven, and says it is not too difficult for us to choose.

Deu 30:1, 11-12, 14-15, 19 NASB 1 "So it shall be when all of these things have come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call [them] to mind in all nations where the LORD your God has banished you, ... 11 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. 12 "It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will go up to heaven for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?' ... 14 "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. 15 "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; ... 19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,

In fact, it says DON'T EVEN SAY that it is a choice God makes for you:

Rom 10:6, 8 NASB 6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down), ... 8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
It seems you are saying in your heart exactly what scripture says not to say in your heart.

That was one of the first really big hurdles I had to get over on UR.
If the punishment isn't eternal, then neither is the life.
Fortunately one age follows another. So no biggie after all.

Matthew 25:46 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
46 And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.'
That passage was from Daniel, and was Hebrew, not Greek.

Dan 12:2 KJV 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.

If the wicked are annihilated, then why does Rev. 22:15 say they still exist on the New Earth forever, but are outside the gate of New Jerusalem.
Revelation 22:15 doesnt say they are alive in the new earth. Outside of the city is the place where the unrepentant wicked receive the second death in the lake of fire. See earlier context here * Revelation 21:7-8

Dan 12:2 KJV 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.
Some of those folks on the other side of the aisle, as the folks in DC say, will try to argue that עולם/olam the Hebrew word translated "everlasting" does not mean "everlasting" it means an age or something like that. But in the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation it reads, "everlasting life" and "everlasting abhorrence."
JPS Daniel 12:2
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence.

Nonsense. UR-ites cherry pick what they call "literal versions" but avoid the literal Jewish Publication Society OT, translated by native Hebrew speaking scholars and the Eastern Greek Orthodox Translated by native Greek speaking scholars. Because these two literal versions don't support the UR agenda.
Nonsense. Not one single verse says the lake of fire is for purification. Let us read the verse you quoted in-context.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
.….Rev 21:4 says “there shall be no more death” in vs. 5 Jesus said “Behold I make all things new.” “No more death” but 3 verses later Rev 21:8 says 8 groups of people “shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is still the second death.”
Maybe the UR-ites got it right and Jesus got it wrong the 8 groups of people were thrown into the LOF before verse 4 then they were made new. Wonder which other verses we can switch around to make them say what we want them to?
When you see someone doing evil, do you curse them to hell or wish upon them salvation? For God's vengeance is salvation, and it'll burn the arrogant pride right out of a man.
Matthew 5:44
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Luke 6:28
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
