As a teacher, I am not looking forward to schools opening up and putting the community at risk. However, if it happens, there are better and worse was to do it. There are 1.6 million engineers in the US, they have an average wage of $90,000 and can expect a career of 30+ years.

The NFL by contrast has about 1,600 football players, the average salary is $2.7 million, average career is 3 years.

So the average engineer will make what the average NFL player makes in one year in their entire career. However, there are 1,000 engineers for each NFL player. Also, these salaries were not nearly this high for the NFL 30 years ago. To be fair to engineers you should take the average salary over the 30 year period. Nor does this take into account CTE and all the other damages NFL players experience. Nor does this take into account the higher tax rate for NFL players over engineers. Nor does this take into account the other costs that NFL players incur, most will employ an agent to get that salary, and the agent will get a cut. Many NFL players employ trainers, that also should be taken into account. Most will have to move from city to city and that can have its costs. It is also a fact that children of engineers are much more likely to go to college and pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering or math. Having a parent that is an engineer is very helpful. Likewise, if your parent is in the NFL they may be helpful in preparing you to make the NFL (the Mannings, etc) but the odds of making it is 1,000xs harder.

Finally wealth accumulation is all about wise investing and conservative spending. NFL players have a high divorce rate, that also can be very expensive. This is why it is easy to find wealthy engineers in their 60s and surprisingly difficult to find wealthy NFL players in their 60s.

Florida health officials have identified a troubling trend; approximately 31 percent, or one-third, of children in Florida tested for COVID-19 yield positive results, according to the Sun Sentinel.

State data indicates that out of 54,022 Florida children tested, 31.1 percent have returned positive results on average. This is higher than the statewide positivity rate, which reads in at about 11 percent.

This comes as states determine whether in-person education will resume in the fall. Outside of potentially hazardous consequences of a coronavirus infection to children, asymptomatic carriers pose a threat to teachers and other staff, who are demographically more likely to have a severe infection.

Kids get COVID-19 , By family members or family members friends. Most kids don't die. I really don't get how people thought kids don't get COVID-19. But kids lick, cough and touch everything thing, like store windows and every thing you will buy . I've seen kids cough on things at the stores. If a child has a family member , that has a cold , flu or COVID-19 . We're screwed. Kids shouldn't be allowed in stores at all. Or in public places at all .
