What evidence does this President currently possess that would refute the Russian bounties on American troops in Afghanistan story provided by US intelligence agencies?

If the President is going to decline to take action against the Russians surely its based on something more than denying that which doesn't conform to his preconceived ideas!

As well they should, people who only consider the political and not the security side of the equation can get others killed and do not deserve to be trusted with classified information.
Kind of like this guy:
U.S. National Security Officials Still Consider Trump a Security Risk
The 21st and 22nd paragraphs of a weekend New York Times report on anti-Russian cybersecurity operations contained a harrowing detail. President Trump reportedly “had not been briefed in any detail” on the operations, “for concern over his reaction — and the possibility that he might countermand it or discuss it with foreign officials.”

That is to say, American national-security officials are declining to share Russia-related intelligence with the president of the United States because they view him as a security risk.
or more recently:
A delusional, dangerous Trump is harming America's security (opinion) - CNN
The president, according to a jaw-dropping report by Carl Bernstein published by CNN detailing egregious behavior in phone calls with foreign leaders, is delusional and dangerous, putting his own personal grievances ahead of American interests and putting American national security at risk.
tulc(agrees with disciple Clint about that)

So now the president is required to produce evidence to rebut fictional claims, it is not necessary to prove that the msm fails to verify facts and features stories based on rumor that later turn out to be totally unture, this is already well known and documented.

"The press found out that Russia is putting bounties on American troops? That's unacceptable. Find out who let the press know, and punish them!"

Isn't this kinda the way Trump handles every crisis?

There is a substantial difference between the word rumor and fact, unverified unnamed sourced articles are nothing more than rumor. When there are facts instead of fiction available please post them.
Apparently for this President the findings of American intelligence agencies is "fiction" - Putin's denials are "facts!"

I believe that you have stated what the msm wants you to believe.

Now that the President can't use ignorance as an excuse, what steps has he taken to verify the truth of the intelligence concerning?

Any other President would have reserved judgement, appointed a trusted confident with intelligence experience and tasked him with gathering all the facts!

I would not be comfortable saying what other presidents might do. What did Obama do when his red line was disregarded. there are many things that could cause a president to take action that we would never know about. We do not have the entire picture of what is going on in the world.
