I dont have much time to respond to this thread or any of my other threads (I'm sorry) but I just got done watching a video on youtube where a Pastor whom my wife and I like listening to stated that our glorification is already done. That while we are currently not glorified but rather because God has said and declared it, it will come to pass and is already done. When I heard this I completely broke down and burst into tears and now I'm wondering, Is this true?

Obviously it's true that everything God speaks it comes to pass. He is all powerful and all sovereign. There isnt something that God cannot do and there is nothing that God hasnt done. It's hard to believe that while we are being sanctified and are waiting for God that our glorification is not only just around the corner but... already said and done. I find this tearwrenching and difficult to believe dont ask me why. Especially when our sanctification takes such a long time and is so far away. So our glorification must be eons and eons away, right? If, it will EVER happen.

I am sorry for the way this will sound it is not my intention to insult you, also please forgive the length of this post, I didn't know how else to do it.

Before you are able to Understand, Comprehend, Grasp what you have heard about Our Glorification being already done, you must fully understand your Sanctification, and what it truly means to be Sanctified.

We have been Reconciled to God through Christ and HIS Work on the Cross,

Gal_2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1Co 1:29-31
29) That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

SANCTIFY:
G37
ἁγιάζω
hagiazō
hag-ee-ad'-zo
From G40; to make holy, that is, (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate: - hallow, be holy, sanctify.

G40
ἅγιος
hagios
hag'-ee-os
From ἅγος hagos (an awful thing) compare G53; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): - (most) holy (one, thing), saint.

G53
ἁγνός
hagnos
hag-nos'
From the same as G40; properly clean, that is, (figuratively) innocent, modest, perfect: - chaste, clean, pure.

Joh_17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Joh_17:19
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Eph_5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

1Th_5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb_13:12
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

1Pe_3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

SANCTIFIED:
G-37
Same as above.

Joh_10:36
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Joh_17:19
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Act_20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Act_26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Rom_15:16
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

1Co_1:2
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1Co_6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

1Co_7:14
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

1Ti_4:5
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

2Ti_2:21
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Heb_2:11
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Heb_10:10
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb_10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Heb_10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Jud_1:1
Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

SANCTIFICATION:
G38
ἁγιασμός
hagiasmos
hag-ee-as-mos'
From G37; properly purification, that is, (the state) purity; concretely (by Hebraism) a purifier: - holiness, sanctification.

Goes back to G-37 above.

1Co_1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1Th_4:3
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1Th_4:4
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

2Th_2:13
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

1Pe_1:2
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Take good note, every single usage of the words Sanctify, Sanctified, Sanctification, all lead back to G-37

There isn't one exception in the New Testament, they all mean the same thing.

The point being, The process of Sanctification is not an ongoing, lifelong process.

There is not one single verse in all of the New Testament which says it is, there are no Verses combined together which say it is.

We are Sanctified IN Christ, through Baptism, and the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Not sure what it all pertains (glorification). It might be an eternal thing for all I know. Eternally being more glorified.

There are technically three steps to salvation, Our Justification which is instantly brought upon us from the time we believe, our sanctification and our glorification.

See Jiminz's Post for the answer to your question or I googled it for you. I will post part of the first paragraph from the first article I came across on sanctification. It is from Ligonier Ministries.

"According to the Westminster Shorter Catechism (Q. 35), sanctification is “the work of God’s free grace, whereby we are renewed in the whole man after the image of God, and are enabled more and more to die unto sin, and live unto righteousness.” It is a continuing change worked by God in us, freeing us from sinful habits and forming in us Christlike affections, dispositions, and virtues. It does not mean that sin is instantly eradicated, but it is also more than a counteraction, in which sin is merely restrained or repressed without being progressively destroyed. Sanctification is a real transformation, not just the appearance of one."

It's also a lifelong process like is stated later on in the article. If you're interested in reading the whole thing the whole article is here: What is Sanctification?
I brought up sanctification into our glorification because like Jiminz says, it is impossible to be glorified (Made completely Holy, Given a God like nature, and have a completely sinless and immortal body) without first being sanctified.

But merely what the Pastor and I meant and are questioning is that it's already declared in history. Just as much as our being born again was declared in history or that Christ's return is declared in history, the New Heavens and the New Earth they're guaranteed parts of history. Even all of our births were guaranteed parts of history. Our jobs, our spouses, our accomplishments and failures.

I don't mean to go all Reformed on all you guys, I apologize but it was a Reformed Theologian who made this statement and it's impossible to ask or get information on this topic without reformed thinking. I was just mostly wondering is our glorification already a declared part of history like our Sanctificaton will one day be, and someday like our lives?

I know, I know though we should be looking at Romans 8:28-30. In these verses Paul said that those he called he justified, sanctified, and glorified. But, I was just wondering if there was another statement by Paul that guaranteed our glorification in history. It's extremely hard to believe when our sanctification is so far away and we are definitely not perfect. To become perfect one day just seems like an impossible task.
