If true, this will not help his cause.

If true, he has not only sold out the American people, he has also sold out the American troops he commands...

Is there a more despicable crime...?

The MSM fails to mention that Soros and the Clintons broke into the WH and threatened Trump and his family with lightsabers to stop him personally flying to Afghanistan and killing the Taliban. Turns out it was unnecessary however as Putin has already told Trump that he ‘didn’t mean it’.

Good one Tom...you’ve just given me a fourth option...the Captain America gambit...:ebil:

In the Marvel Universe I think he’s known as ‘captain gropey hands’, I’m sure the only reason for that is that Capt America was already taken.

Seriously, this excuse of a leader stood in front of the graduating class from West Point and took their salute...while knowing that his buddy Vlad had been paying off people to have their comrades in arms killed off...

Disgust doesn’t even begin to describe it...

He knew and after he knew still wanted Putin at the G7. Every decision he makes benefits either China or Russia and weakens the U.S.. Yet folks don't think he is beholden to Putin.

Trump wants respect and the optics of honor and pageantry but he has no honor. Just like he wants the optics of a successful response to COVID-19, but not actual success. He's not willing to do what he needs to do to earn it or obtain it honestly. He's never served and he's never had respect for service men. The respect he has had has been for individuals, fantasies of what war heroes are, and that was only until 1) He realized they were just men and 2) they stopped agreeing with him. The only person he is looking out for is himself. He just wants to give everyone else the illusion he is looking out for them.

wow do you feel that way about the airplanes full of cash that Obama sent to Iran that was then used to sponsor terrorism and explosives use against our troops.

I am certain that those service members who lost their legs are real impressed.

That doesn't really address the question, funds were not given to Iran on a whim, wars were started in the Middle east by Western powers looking to clean up a mess to some extent also created by Western powers. War, people dying and being maimed - those are not linked to one particular event that can be removed from its context and still mean something useful, and the suggestion here that without those particular funds Iran's sponsorship of terrorism would be significantly affected - to whatever extent it can be demonstrated there is any link between those funds and activities - is just random speculation. One state with which the US is not at war offering a bounty for the killing of US soldiers is a different scenario.

So giving a world sponsor of terrorism all that cash is a good thing in your view. Spare me your attempts to try to justify it.

As with pretty much anything that happens between nations in conflict, 'good' and 'bad' are extremely malleable terms. You can look at what actually happened, and form an opinion about what the least bad options were, or you can just use your imagination to invent some other option that doesn't involve having to deal with reality. Entirely up to you.

To be fair, it might also be that he's just really bad at his job.

It might just be that he doesn't know how to handle the situation. Look at his dealings with Erdogan, he wrote a 'nice letter' apparently asking Erdogan to not kill the Kurds who defeated ISIS, when he left them hanging. Erdogan apparently didn't even read it, he just threw it in the trash. All Putin has to say is 'no' and Trump has no idea how to respond except to say 'Putin says he didn't do it'. It's hard to figure out if they each have something on him - he's had business dealings in both countries - or if he simply has no idea how to manage people who are as bald-faced as he is when it comes to handling the truth of a matter.
