I've actually followed him since the early 90s. (I was in the "Prophetic Movement" back then...) I think a lot of his success was due to unusual flamboyant style, with his South African accent, and keyboard playing prophesying etc. He definitely stood out compared to all the American folks in the movement.
Anyway following that movement since the early 90s, (and listening to recordings from the late 1980s as well). Lots of stuff did not hold up over time. I mean very bullish, optimistic prophecies about revivals, "the rise of the prophets" etc.
But concerning Kim
1) Kim and a number of others were prophesying about White House Revivals during the Lewinsky scandal and impeachment. Which for the most part didn't happen -
2) Kim said lots of really positive things about Obama, which really made me question his discernment. I can see God allowing Obama in for various reasons, but not the kind of positive things he said. It is interesting when Obama colored the white house with the gay rainbow, supporting gay marriage or or whatever that event was that caused Kim to turn on Obama, and began saying the kind of things I was saying all along. The kicker is was Obama nature, and positions were not secret, if you were willing to take the time to see what he was saying in his interviews, autobiographies etc. you would know most of where he stood. OK on gay marriage he did the two faced politician thing of pretending to be against it when he thought that was where the majority was, and being for it when it looked things shifted, but so much of Obama positions etc. have been made public that it should not be a mystery.
