we had a peaceful protest today or rally whatever it was called. went downtown to look and be nosey

I haven't bothered listening to the protest news. They damaged several stores here. Target boarded up their front and shut down temporarily leaving people who needed to shop there abandoned. These protestors picked the worst place to protest due to it is in the heart of the shopping area lots of stores to damage and loot from.

It has been 10 degrees above normal here lately..... mid 90s.... and humid

I live in a small town , we do have a walmart , and word was out that those thugs from chicago that came down to peoria , 60 miles away and bloomington 35 miles away were on their way last week . was scarey around here for a day, nothing became of it that day

I live in the second largest city here in Oklahoma we have 3 Super Walmarts and over half a Dozen Walmart Grocery stores but then we are right next door to Walmart's home offices etc.

turns out though 2 days later I got a phone call from a friend that works in nursing at nursing home that is only a block from downtown and she said the police informed the facility at 2 am that a rioting was taking place in downtown and have precaution measures and safety for your employees when they leave work

so of course I could not sleep was awake all nite , turns out it was a large party at a loft bed and breakfast that was rented that nite . for only small group but large group came in and they partied in the streets. they were mostly black people which is strange here , we do not have that many and these were not local they said police got it under control and they lost their payment to the bed and breakfast and told to leave . just very strange thing , never happens here . odd makes you think with all that is going on , no one has released where these people came from or why they came here at all

I hope this protest things ends soon, it is getting annoying every time some stupid cop kills a black person they want to protest and many others die from the protests that would have lived if they had not done it.
Trading many lives to protest the loss of one is not a bargain IMO.

They probably were paid to come from a large city near you. This is the first protest like this we have had here.

We don’t really have any riots here. There were a few peaceful protests, but no violence.
