I have been a Christian for my entire life, but was not Christened as a baby. I started attending Church 13 years ago, have attended many Bible studies, although I have not yet read the Bible the whole way through. I have been thinking about being Bapitsed and confirmed for many years now, but I often have times where I lose faith, and am worried that I am not able to truthfully declare myself as a believer as part of the Baptism ceremony. Does anyone have any guidance on when people are ready spirtually to be Baptised, and what I might need to do to get to that place myself.
If you believe and have done these things then you are ready to be Baptized.
1. In order to be saved you must first believe in Yahshua the Christ
(Mark 16:16; John 3:3,15-18,35-36; John 5:24; John 6:26-40,47; John 14:1,12; Acts 10:43; Acts 16:31-33; Romans 10:4,8-11; Hebrews 11:6; 1 Timothy 4:10; 1 John 5:1,4-13)

2. We must believe that Christ was God manifest in the Flesh
(1 Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:8-9; John 1:1,14; John 8:28; John 14:9-12)

3. Must believe Christ lived a sinless life
(1 Peter 2:22 ; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15 ; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
____________________________________________________________________________
4. Must believe Christ died for all men's sins
(Luke 1:77; Acts 13:38,39; Hebrews 10:16-18; Luke 24:45-47)
____________________________________________________________________________
5. We must believe he raised himself from the Grave on the Third day
(John 2:19-21 ; John 10:17-18)
____________________________________________________________________________
6. We must repent of all our past sins and ask the Lord for forgiveness in the name of Yahshua the Christ
(Matt 4:17; Matt 9:13; Mark 1:4,15; Luke 3:2-4,18-21; Luke 5:32; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 2:36-39; Acts 8:16,19; Acts 10:43, 48; Acts 13:24; Acts 17:30; Acts 19:5; Acts 22:16;1 Cor 12:13; 2 cor 7:8-10; 2 timothy 2:25; James 4:8; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 John 1:8-10; Revelation 3:19)
