Missouri governor praises Trump admin's COVID-19 response: 'Almost moved mountains'

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson defended the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday, arguing that the president and vice president "did nothing but almost move mountains for the entire country."

"When you think about where we were at 60 days ago -- to do what they did to get that CARES package out as early as they did, to almost retool the manufacturing across the United States to make PPE [personal protective equipment] supply for every state," the Republican governor said on "Cavuto Live."

"To be critical of that being done and the federal government to get all that done in 60 days -- I mean, people just need to sit back and take a breath here and realize what's been accomplished in 60 days by the president, the vice president, and frankly the governors."

Of course he completely ignores that the CARES Act was also put together by Speaker Pelosi. And tbh, I would be more surprised if he didn't come out in praise of Trump's actions. He's running for reelection in a state that heavily supports Trump. It's just common sense to praise the President at this point. Also. correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't almost all of the retooling to produce PPE done by manufacturers on their own?

Does Biden know?
Might have to be reminded?
His memory seems to be in question?

All three of the CoVid-19 bills have been bipartisan bills and neither side got everything that they wanted, but the praise for these bills should go to them and I believe exclusively to them on both sides of the aisle.

Many of the manufacturers reached out to the administration to offer to retool and produce what we need, which we still don't have enough of right now. We also need to be stocking up for next fall/winter when there will be CoVid-19 and influenza at the same time.

What choice do any of the governors have? If they were to criticize him in any way they know he will retaliate. Best to stroke his ego.

Definitely appreciate him doing that - takes a little guts in this hyper-partisan culture to stand against the opposition to voice appreciation for a job well done.

Well, at least this is an admission that things are getting done. Don't care if the President did it or not........The left claims it is not getting done. LIARS.

How? What has he done to any Governor? And don't bring up tit for tat garbage. We all debate back and forth.........What has President Trump 2020 done to any Governor?
And have you not been watching the news( I HATE calling it the news?) Just about every left wing Governor and mayor has openly disrespected and vilified Trump 2020.

Yes. it took so much guts for the Republican Governor of a heavily Republican state to praise the Republican President.

Wow. 3 posts in and you are already derailing your own thread. If you wanted to post about Biden so much, why didn't you just post yet another thread about him?

Did you actually read that column? It's satire and is not flattering at all to the President's efforts.

I actually just share the current news. Much comes from both sides of the aisle. Take what you want and leave the rest.
Have a blessed Sunday,
Bob

Well, if there's anything to be learned from the bloody handed dictators the President Trump loves so much is that the easiest way to get everything you want from President Trump is to stroke his ego. You can go from "little rocket man" to "we fell in love" just by writing a letter.

Missouri governor Praises Trump Admin's COVID-19 response

The President threatened to cut off federal funding to Michigan and Nevada if they attempted to establish a mail-in voting program rather than have their constituents stand for hours in line in what could be in the middle of a 2nd wave of the pandemic!

Governors are faced with a spiteful President who threatens to withhold the federal funding, that their states desperately need to combat the pandemic, as a means of controlling their behavior!
