1 Corinthians 12: 1-11

12 Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

I have been immensely blessed to have witnessed God’s Spirit many times. I recently have been reminded that we all have a Spiritual Gift. Do you know what yours is?

We have many great examples of great faith at work throughout the bible such as Noah whereby his faith was an example to his family and ultimately saved humanity from dying out. Moses, Joshua etc.

I believe my gift is the gift of faith. I believe this for many reasons some of which are as follows: I have witnessed God’s Spirit in the cloud; I have seen transfiguration; I have experienced immense strength in the Spirit as strong as a mountain; and, I see apparitions.

Also, I have been saved many times by the Lord from near fatal situations. I was saved from a major vehicle accident where I climbed out of a smashed vehicle I had rolled at high speed for a distance of over 60 meters. I emerged from the wreck with only a few scratches. Witnesses were shouting ‘Praise the Lord, it’s a miracle!’ I nearly drowned in the sea twice due to large waves and a strong rip current that dragged me out. I had a very near miss on a bicycle once where I felt the Holy Spirit come into me and steer my bicycle 90 degrees to the right in order to avoid a speeding car from hitting me. I have been saved from alcoholism (20 years ago I got down on my knees and prayed to God to make me sober, I’ve been sober for 20 years now! Amen! Through Him I have been able to overcome mental health challenges such as debilitating anxiety and depression! Praise be to God!

God has provided me with so many opportunities to witness his greatness. The Lord has saved me so many times even though I was a pitiful wretch who did not deserve saving. This has cemented my faith to the extent that I am now a fellow ‘Jesus freak’. I am a new creation, Amen!

I see the joy that lies ahead of me in growing spiritually with the Lord and developing my faith to further glorify and honour Him in everything I do as I eagerly desire His greater gifts.

1 Corinthians 12: 27-31

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tonguesd]' data-fn="#fen-NIV-28665d">[d]? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

I think mine is the gift of knowledge. I had a dream where I was told Bible verses I wasn't even aware of until after I read the Bible later. I think knowledge of the Bible even if just by reading it is a gift in and of itself. I also had dreams about events that happen later. I dont know which events will occur though until after they happen. I dont get messages with the events though I just see them. I think to be a prophet you get messages from God. I'm severely lacking in other gifts though. I feel like the only wisdom I have is to ask my family and others for advice because I have no wisdom. I feel like the gift I have has proven to me that God is real and is aware of and knows every little detail what is happening and the future. But I feel like my faith is still weak. I used to pray to be a prophet tried to by my own will but just am not. I definitely dont have miraculous powers. I dont even try to speak in tongues. I think I've seen and heard spirits but my discernment is garbage. I try asking the spirits if Jesus came in the flesh and even if they pass that test I'm still shaky about it.

Hi

Last night when I dozed off I entered a spirit filled semi conscious dream state. I felt partly asleep and conscious at the same time and heard what I believe was Angel's singing. Beautiful melodious tranquillity.

I read in other threads that some members have experienced this also.

What a great night feel truly blessed...

"asking the spirits if Jesus came in the flesh" means, I think:

- do the faction that are pushing an idea or concept, uphold individual maturing, autonomy and integrity?

- do they believe Jesus called each one (those not under their control) to potentise the other's gifts and minstries, so that each gains a crown as he helps his fellow gain a crown, but not as the faction defines?

- do they prayerfully protect the fellow adopted widows and orphans in Father's firm by sacrificing themselves for the freedom of conscience and initiative of those?

So many "memes" in churches turn out to be fashionably manipulative, it pays to have multi-leveled insight into Scripture meanings. Your very stating you are "shaky about" "it" shows to my mind you did in fact intuit this!

The posters on this forum believe in the operation of spiritual gifts today according to forum rules - the only ones.

Every believer is at a different place. Just because they're 'shaky about it'" doesnt automatically mean they're on the wrong track or it's not the Holy Soirit.

Think they are saying that they are "shaky about it' as an example of their lack of discernment - expressing their perception.
