Totally misleading false title.

Even though it is pretty clear the video sound has been intentionally distorted at the end you can still hear Gates saying “until people are vaccinated”

Graz for spreading lies. Jesus would be proud.

Yet, you have no concern about a nano technology vaccine for the virus?

What has that to do with you starting a thread with false title ?

If you want to talk about nano technology and vaccines start a thread saying so instead of lying your head off to make Gates look bad.

For someone labeling himself as Christian this is just....underwhelming.

I agree that this is a misleading post. Gates does not say "I don't think they should. . .", he says "They may not come back. . ." Furthermore, he never in the clip mentions churches, he only says mass gatherings, which includes sports events, rock concerts, and all kinds of things in addition to churches.

So what Gates said is a prediction, not a position statement. And I totally agree that he might be right. Or he might not. The prediction I have been making is that in two or three or five years there will a slew of books out about the Great Pandemic of 2020, and they will all point out in great detail how everything we did was wrong.

In the meantime, I'm just coping the best I can, just like everybody else is doing.

Right. So your devious plan is to make Gates look bad and count that most people do not bother to watch even 30 second video and that they would just take your word for that the second richest billionaire in the world is sprouting nonsense.

Then your next thread would be some conspiracy theory about nanomachines and vaccinations.

Or did you plan few more clumsy threads of character assassination before getting there ?

This is just counterproductive and stupid way to go about it.

Are you new to this board?
Nope. It should perhaps be called ChristianLiars.com :sigh:.

I was half-serious in my earlier post; while the amount of lying on this board is beyond embarrassing, I sympathize with the moderators - it is impossible to enforce a rule against lying, objectionable as it may be.

"Are we" is a better question?
Unclear, please explain.

And while you are at it, please explain why you consider it acceptable to lie if, indeed, you will not retract the OP.

Lie. Falsehood. Untruth.

Can we not have a rule against this sort of thing?

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and even smaller sites like Pinterest have responsibly implemented a raft of policies to help keep users safe from misinformation and exploitative practices. There's long been a virtual plague of misinformation and disinformation pertaining to public health matters causing an infodemic that has infected people around the world, and in the past few years social media has begun to try to inoculate their sites through various measures such as deploying algorithms to look for false or sensationalist claims. With this forum being so much smaller and run primarily by volunteers it's understandable that they don't have the ability to replicate some of those actions, but I definitely think there needs to be clearly stated rules prohibiting misinformation about this pandemic, and dishonesty in general. It definitely does not reflect well on Christians when a forum called Christian Forums enables content that breaks the 9th commandment. I think instead of relying on a system where users need to report such content, there needs to be more action taken to prevent it from being posted.

Who is going to track some weird nano tracking system. We nurses give the vaccines and we would throw a hissy fit if we thought there was a way to track a person. We only track what lot a vaccine comes from so if there is a tainted batch, all those people could be notified. This means literally thousands of people are vaccinated off a single batch all over the country.

Honestly, if the government wanted to track us, our debit cards would be a better way. They are individual and almost all of us have them voluntarily and carry them every day...and they usually are unique to the user. There once was a time when conspiracy people thought these were the great sign of the devil and that we all would eventually get a bar code tattooed on our bodies for the same purpose. Guess that didn't happen.

A vaccine will simply do what vaccines do. The technology to develop and give the vaccine may change which is good...since the needles are getting smaller and the vaccines are getting safer...(no more live vaccines for example).

Ironically just about the thing that could even be twisted to apply only or primarily to Churches was the term "mass gatherings". While it obviously applies to large gatherings in general some might try to twist that to make it seem like it applies only to Mass and that would be singling out Catholics and others who call their gatherings Mass.

The irony is that you, a Catholic, were first to point out the main lie.

I do think churches may be banned, but fro a more reasonable thing of, people are obviously showing they can't be trusted with certain things, We may not even have to wait for the lockdowns to be lifted, tomorrow may be the start of the second wave, you will have shown you can't religiously safley and reliably well then your rights will be provokved and only yourselves to blame.

Agreed. In fact, I would go a bit further and say that posting insane conspiracy theory nonsense and 'alternative facts' ought to be a ban-worthy offense, especially of the offender does so multiple times. (NB: I am not saying the OP is such a person; I wouldn't know the OP from Adam, and threads like this don't make me want to change that.)

Instead we have a subforum dedicated to conspiracy theories, for some reason. :sigh:

My apologies, but I'm not quite sure what you are tying to say here. Can you rephrase it a little more clearly?
