I don't know that Ebola sufferers would agree with the video....

well at the risk of sounding like that guy, depends on your definition of deadly, ebola is dangerous, and highly contagious, but it burns itself out, even a outbreak in the US wouldn't last long, it kills most people, but the overall numbers tend to be small. Wher as this while not as lethal, will last longer and spread out over a longer time and might become something we deal with every few years.

Nobody has to agree with the video.
Because disease spread is exponential, the number of "hot spots" during an outbreak makes all the difference. One less early "hot spot" could cut the numbers in half.
Many hot-spots or instances of spread can double the rates. A useful comparison might be how lethal a virus is regardless of the total. But you would need identical testing rates, or identical reporting rates and we don't have either.
